4 is very negative! What a great aim!

Scan was today. So happy after seeing specialist, she was very happy with levels and my increases. She did a quick scan (via my stomach not trans) not expecting to see anything more than a thicken lining and wow I saw a decent size sac and blob aka what she is calling the baby. Yay. Went really well. So much more relaxed, nice way to start our holidays.

We are going to the coast of new south Wales. We have a holiday house for a week on the beach. Taking a few days to drive there and back via some friends houses. Should be nice and relaxing. Hope everyone has a great Friday xx

well we got a few bits for the bathroom lotte but we are gonna paint the walls week day evenings then start getting the kitchen sorted! Its my hen do tonight (i know its ages away from the wedding but my bridesmaids know i wanna try for a baby so we decide to do it before the chance of me being pregnant.... Thats if Im lucky enough to have it happen so quickly!) what a beautiful evening for it too! Think i may regret it all tomorrow but Im gonna make the most of my last possible drinking session! Woo! How is everyone else? Xxxx

Laura - how was it last night? And how's the head?!
Hope everyone else is ok. We went to the coast yesterday - fab weather but I've now got very red legs!!
Need to pack a few more boxes today as we're supposed to be moving in two weeks - I say 'supposed' as our solicitors are useless and don't seem to be doing what we are paying them to do!!
Got my 12 week scan on Friday - there's still a little part of me that's worried something will have happened since my 9 week one but I think that might be because it's coming up to the anniversary of my scan last year when I had the bad news.
I've been so sick with this one - my consultant gave me some tablets but they didn't work, just made me so, so drowsy..I ordered some 'preggie pop' sweets off Amazon and they actually do take the edge of it - they are in really sour fruit flavours so quite yummy too - they work out expensive to just eat them like sweets tho!! Just ordered some pregnancy bands off e-bay as all my trousers/jeans are getting tight now - I've got a little bump but not enough to go in my maternity gear yet! Just look fat and bloated!!

So exciting avgabcon about your scan. Its natural to be worried, but i'm sure evrything wil be fine. I heard about prego pops - i'm glad they take the edge of the sickness. I'm sure you look lovely with your little bump.

Did you happen to ask to try another anti-nausea med?? They made me try one that is know for making you drowsy first, then I was prescribed Zofran which is suppose to be one of the best. Can't remember what the "name brand" was I was prescribed but the generic was promethazine I think that made me sleepy.

Blakesmom - yes it was promethazine that he prescribed! I thought about going to ask for an alternative but then what with the palaver involved in getting an appointment and being optimistic that as I'm nearly in the 2nd trimester it should ease off soon I've decided to just see it out. And keep eating the preggie pops - yum!
It is so so hot here today again! I used to love the sun but since living in Spain a couple of years ago when it used to get up to 50 degrees celsius (with no breeze either as we were inland, just outside Seville) I just can't hack it anymore. So no longer a sun worshipper but a shade worshipper!

My old boss - I was a primary teacher but left after my second child(when we moved to Spain) has been talking to my good friend (and ex colleague) who still works at the school about the possibilty of offering me a day or two a week from September. Typical timing - I've been popping in over the last 18 months or so seeing if there's anything available as when I left (I'd been there over 10 years) he always said if I wanted to go back he'd try and sort something for me if he could - however, he's only ever been able to offer me supply work which I've had to say no to as there isn't any childcare available where I could phone up on the morning on an ad-hoc basis to have the children. So just as it comes where he could offer me a set day or two I'm going to be heavily pregnant! I'm going to go in and see him and tell I'd possibly be available form about Easter ish next year but we'll see!!

We've got to take Conall for a check up at the hospital tomorrow - the only lasting thing he had from being so prem was something called 'hypospadias' so he needed an operation on his 'bits' at the end of last year. Tomorrow is just to check it's all healed properly and is working as it should!

Its lovely to see so many positive posts on here. Hope all the pregnant ladies didn't suffer in the heat tooo much over the weekend. I know I did, I am burnt to a crisp lol!

Laura- I cant believe ttc is only days away for you!!! I am so excited lol!! Glad you had a good night, and good idea doing it now so you could drink! I was greedy and had two hen dos lol!

Avgabcon5- Its normal to be worried hun, its a scary time, but I'm sure everything will be fine! You will be amazed at the growth in 3 weeks!!

Blakesmon- lovely scan pics hun, glad everything went well, and July will soon be here!!

Lotte- great news on your levels hun!! So close now!

Rafferty- Yay for 0!! We were given a 6month ttc date of 18th Jan but I got my bfp on 6th Jan so we were a little naughty and ttc over xmas, but they werent worried as my levels went straight back to 0 after d and c. So we waited about 5 months.

Afm I had my 24 week check yesterday, and luckily had the midwife who did my booking appointments for this pregnancy and my pmp, so she knows all my history! She just felt for my fundal height and stopped to ask if there was only one in there!!! Unless one was hiding at all 4 scans there is only one lol!! I am massive lol!! I had a feeling she was going to comment as I felt baby kick just under my ribcage when i was laying down. She said they dont generally measure from 24 weeks as some women tend to be bigger and start to balance out at 28 weeks. So i have to wait til then to know if im measuring too big or not lol!! And, not that Im counting or anything) but just 5 weeks til i go on mat leave and I cannot wait, my job is really quite hard, I am constantly running around and it is heavy so I am looking forward to a much needed rest. xxxx

11 dpo, 8:15pm
12dpo, 6:20am
12dpo, 8:20pm
13dpo, 4:00am

Should i be concerned that the First response ones are faint? and the Wal mart ones are VERY faint...

It was soo overwhelming and the husband and I were so happy... and then i started to cry... because i've waited so long.. and now that i got a BFP, i'm soo afraid of m/c or another mp =(

Trying to stay positive though!!

Thanks tung lol, Im bigger now lol! As for the test MASIVE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! dont be worried about them being faint, i didnt get a bfp this time around until i was 16dpo and they frers are darker which is a good sign!! xxx
