More Frequent Urination Second Trimester?!!

Hi guys,

Anor strange one...did any of you experience more frequent urination 2nd trimster than the first? I feel like I am doing everything backwards lol!!! Not much peeing first trimester no going like a train the 2nd also quite snoozy/sleepy the 2nd trimester...no preg glow here yet lol! Hope all your pregs are going well x

hiya, yes i wake up every night at 2.30 to pee then can't get back to sleep again!

I also wake up around 2.30 sometimes can be twice a night. I wake up in pain as I am bursting for the loo but my body has not woke me up sooner!x

Yep, 3 times a night for me. I think I drink too much water/juice too late in the evening lol

Yep constantly peeing - but baby kicks the bejesus out of my bladder so suppose thats why!!!!

Feel as tho am in the soggy knicker parade!!!!!!!

Yep, me too, at start of second tri could not go through the night without getting up, even if i didn't drink for at least a couple of hours before going to bed. think the wriggler was leaping about on my bladder, seems to be his favourite past-time. It settled down and i have made it through the night for the past 3 to 4 weeks but had to get up again last night but that was my fault, took my vitamin with loads of water just before bed, doh!

Thanks girls for the replies!! I am starting to learn slowly but surely that there's no such thing as a textbook pregnancy and that not everyone's symptoms are exactly the same. This site is such a lifesaver!! x

yesss, never had it in first tri and only really had it for about a week or so. and with the sleep! 14w+ i was going to sleep every night at 8pm but for the past few days its changed to 6pm!! x

Its the same for me too. I've definitely had to go more in the 2nd trimester rather than the 1st. I have to get up at least 3 times during the night to pee, its ridiculous! Sometimes I would get up and pee, sit down again and then 5 minutes later I might have to go again!

I have to pee way more but I'm also drinking more water since becoming pregnant so I'm sure that's part of the reason too.

Not only am I having to pee more often, but I've had incontinence since first tri. Whenever I sneeze or cough or sometimes just move wrong, if I don't have my legs clamped just the right way, I leak a little, even if I just got out of the bathroom! I would feel horribly embarrassed about it if I didn't know some other ladies who have the exact same problem!

I drink more water and pee more too! My record so far is 5 times in one night - boo! Usually just twice though. Also having the same problem as Ember ^^^ good times!

spstarla78 what do you do about it? I started off using pantiliners but got tired of wearing them all the time and felt horrible about being so wasteful. Now I usually just tuck a tissue or some tp between my lips if I feel I'm in danger of needing it.

I've experienced this too. No problems during first trimester but as soon as I got into second, I've been peeing tons

Hi,

I havent slept through a whole night for a few weeks now, needing to get up a couple of times a night for the loo, but I also need to go much more during the day as well. It doesnt help when LO kickes my bladder and I almost pee myself lol. saying that my scan yesterday showed LO is living head down lol, he has been there for all 3 of my scans so no wonder my bladder is feeling the pressure!

I didn't pee much first tri because I was so dehydrated with Hyperemesis all the time. However, since about 13 weeks I have to get up and pee around 5am every morning, and generally during the evening when my tummy is full I find I have to go around every hour or so.

I also find there is a new sense of urgency that wasn't there previously now too.

it changes all the time. at first i was really sick and exhausted then i started feeling a bit better. not sick at all, more energy. now for the past while i have been peeing all the time and i'm exhausted again. unpredictable!
