Mums/Moms after Recurrent Losses (MARL) - Come join us!

Davies- so glad everything is okay! Cute little gummy bear scan :) her 1st bday looked like a success. I love her pink party dress and her polka dot outfit too! She's gorgeous :cloud9: so sad about the lady in the lobby. We've all been there :( I bet you just wanted to hug her & tell her it'll be ok! Oh, & regarding lexis waking up, I eliminated a waking by adding diluted rice cereal or oatmeal to her bedtime bottle. Bought me several more hours when I started doing that.

Hopeful- eek for golf ball sized hail! I remember some hail storms like that in KY and they would dent cars!

Just- glad E is doing better now that her teeth have erupted. We have hardwood too and she loves to crawl off the rugs and get over on the hardwood and smack her hands on it lol bay used to bump herself when she went from sitting to all 4s, but now she's perfected it and she just bumps herself on furniture :dohh:

Nsn- I bet you're tired! I was so exhausted and I didn't even have a 1 year old to run after all day! Yay for hitting 12 weeks already :D

Croy- I saw you shared the news on FB :) loved Levi's big brother shirts!

Heart- loved the video! What a big girl D has become :D I hope you're right about the fussiness stemming from the new developmental stuff. She was crazy last night & this morning too :dohh: hope you can find some time to study. I have been thinking about working on getting credentialed online and I wonder how I would manage with Bay being more active everyday. Sounds like you're having a nice time and D has adapted well on vacation with her sleep and such

Wooks, Jenny, Bumpy, Melfy, everyone else

Afm, all bets were off last night. Just when I was saying she sleeps so well too :dohh: she woke after midnight for a feed which was a bit unusual. I fed her and she went back to sleep but then she was up again at 3:30am! Wtf? And she was screaming like she was upset. She was in & out of sleep until 7:30 but kept whining off & on. The after we woke up, she was crying hard again. She normally wakes up all smiles and talking away. I can't wait for this phase to be over! This is day 3 of an uber whiny baby :(

kat- i missed about sttn - awesome! are the nerotoxins gone?

tuckie- hope she sleeps tonight! i was up at 3:30 and 5:30 too...

amanda- awesome news! walking! love the video, she looks so cute. i can't wait until mine walk. ava will grab her shopping cart and walk behind it and dylan has walked behind it some but he's not interested. neither care to try and walk alone but ava will walk when i hold her hands. i think they just do whatever the other one is doing

i got restless legs in the last part of my pregnancy it was horrid but the last 2 nights i have had it in my right leg its been driving me nuts :( xxx

Jen im a bit restless tonight to!!! wierd! hope ur ok chick x
Amanda i love d walking video so cute, i wonder if thats lexis problem she crawled at 8 months cruised furniture pretty much from 9 months but hasnt a lot of interest in walking but i think shes frustrated mixed with teething shes biting everything pinches pulls my face lol! She goes to bed like a good girl i lay her down an walk away shes normally asleep within minutes!!! Just waking at night still, i do leave her for 5 minutes always but she never goes off, trouble is with pete doing it he falls asleep in the night an then she gets snugglly so i prefer to do it! The last few nihgts i have fed her 4oz water 1 1/2 scoops milk so tonight its 4oz water 1 scoop an will see if she wakes, i also gave her ibruprofen as she is defo teething today.

Never i am 10 weeks today but i have a scan at 13 weeks as they put me back a few days, It is so tiring 2nd time around i feel your pain i tend to try nap when lexi does as im still really suffering with sickness x

Thanks tuckie her dress was £13 in next an polka dot was george asda would u believe!!! I find if i ever mention Lexi sleeping through she always wakes up lol!! x

Bleeding has changed to like a dusky pink colour (sorry tmi) It does make me nervous!!! x

Wow Ladies. I never thought G STTN would be such news. It's been about a month now. He sleeps 6:30-6:30 with dream feed before I go to bed. I thought he would be the last to sttn. I'm relieved he isn't.

Life has been great with DH making his own hours. Spent the day at the farmers market in Santa Monica and ate lunch. G will now sit in a high chair and eat. He napped in his carseat on the way home. Life is bliss. Now Tuckie just let me know there is a damn wonder week coming up. Aaargh.

We are all healthy, thanks for inquiring. Was like a bad dream.

G poops and pees on his potty chair in the morning and is done pooping for the day (right now). Love it!!! We have never had even a minor rash since we started Part time EC... But in all honesty he only ever had a minor rash at it's worse. It was just pink, tiny bumps. Never was ulcerated or anything.

Also joined a Moms group and been going on Girls Nights out weekly now that G is doing so great. DH and I feel like we have a life again. A great one.

Davies,
Yay love!!! Super cute pics too. I would have told the lady that I had MC so she can have hope. How frustrating for your hubby. That doesn't happen with private practice to my awareness.

Just,
Foam tiles. I got mine from softtiles.com. They are made in Taiwan. I don't trust things made in China to adhere to safety standards. We love them and bought more for our workout area.

Heart,
Yay for walking. What a big girl. I can't imagine having to study for that exam and mind G. You are very welcome to visit hon. I didn't know you switched to cloth. I also didn't know d got a bad rash. We use the bum genius stay dry liners to protect cloth from diaper cream. There are coconut oil bum creams that are cloth diaper safe. I haven't tried them. I don't risk switching from the Avalon organic zinc cream mixed with aquafor and triple paste at night that is working for us.

NSN and justT
Can't believe you are still waking at night too. Must both be so exhausted. NSN, being pregnant and waking must be awful.

Hi anyone I missed. On iPhone. Hate typing on phone.

Thanks Kat, your life does sound bliss! Grey sounds like he's become a very easy going little boy, you are very lucky. X

Lexis so much fun 90% of the time but 10% hard work! She's a nightmare at waking, but good at going to bed etc, however I used ibuprofen last night an she slept till 515am I went in gave her, her bottle 4ox 1 scoop 2 min cuddle an put her back down she whinged for 1 min then has sat talking ever since!! It's now 630 an she's still talking! She is stubborn my girl!!
I'm pleased your all well now kat, how did you become exposed? Did I miss that update?? X

i know the feeling davies kieran is waking in the night sometimes 2x he used to sleep straight through but he has 4 teeth coming through at once up the top he seems pretty hungry too , he got weighed on thursday and is 20lb my chunky monkey he aint my diddy 5lb9oz little boy now lol xxx

Daives I am so happy about your scan!! YAY!!!! :yipee: we are all doing so well it's incredible that we are not having trouble second time round. Congratulations hun :cloud9: Lexi sleeps 5pm - 5am and has her last feed at 4pm. She has 5 feeds per day. However we are still having to get up at least 3 times a night to push her dummy back in. She usually goes back to sleep but say once a week she can't at some point and we have to get her up to play for 20 mins but we don't feed her at all until 5am the next morning. Not great but we are going with that routine for now. Oh and I let her cry it out if she doesn't settle asap - usually asleep 5 mins later. Sometimes though if she has had a particularly sicky day and eshe wakes a midnight I'll give her an extra 3oz milk but this is rare and if it's her teeth I always calpol her and use those powers / gel on her dummy. Hope that's helpful? Your Lexi is gorge on those photos!

Aww look at D walking!!!! She's adorable! Can't believe some of our babies are one!

Hopeful how are the twins? Any pics?

Kat great news about G! How's the new house feeling now? More like home?

Croy my tiredness is horrible too - had 9 hours sleep the other day as Josh took over and still felt incredibly lethargic so I know it's the pregnancy. Sickness has passed now but I am starving hungry all the time!

All good with me other than that, I am so happy to come on here and see we are all happy (aside from those little munchkins waking us up! - tuckie :hugs:

Gender scan in 3-4 weeks when I am 16 weeks or thereabouts. Getting it done privately for free as I did a promo vid for the consultant so this is his way of saying thankyou :) He can do gender reveal scans at 12 weeks he is so good but I'd prefer to wait till 16 for accuracy. I am so excited! Hoping for a girly but will be over the moon either way :)

JW :hi:

Melfy and everyone I've missed :hi:

Kat- yay for a blissful life with your guys :) sounds like your Santa Monica excursion was a success  the 6th leap is 33 1/2- 37 1/2 weeks. I really noticed the fussiness at week 35-36. We are almost out of the the leap now and I'm hoping she goes back to her sweet self! She has been doing the 3 "C's" with her leap: crying, clingy, & cranky. However, she slept pretty well last night but needed a 10 oz bottle to go back to sleep with her dream feed!

Davies- why are you diluting her formula? Are you trying to get her on cows milk? I'm confused as to the 1 scoop in 4 oz?

Fili- sounds like you're doing wonderfully :) can't wait to hear gender!

Ladies that aren't ttc right away: are you keepin old baby stuff? I am struggling with whether I should just sell/give away stuff bay has outgrown or keep for possible #2

Okay, so I have got to share this really gross story! I'm appalled and no one here knows this person so I can vent to you girls about it! I took the baby over to see my grandparents yesterday & my brother & his gf stopped by with my nephew. I watched my brothers gf change 2 shitty diapers (on my grandmas floor with no pad btw) and she did NOT wash her hands!!! After one of the changes, she was rubbing diaper cream on his anus and she didn't wash her hands!!! Ewwww! I wanted to say something so bad, but my brother has gotten really pissed at me before for criticizing her in the past, so I bit my tongue. Then she was trying to get B to crawl to her and I was thinking hell no! Aaaaagh! I picked her up and shielded her from her for the rest of the day. When it was time to go, I packed Bay in her carseat and put her in the car and she says "Oh, I didn't get to say goodbye" & goes over, to my absolute horror, she picks up B's hand and kisses it!!! I waited until everyone went in and frantically wiped B's hands down with a sani wipe. Wtf??? She's a mother! Who does that?!? I was so disgusted. This is the same chick who was hospitalized last year with E. coli! Ugh. I just had to rant about that! Nasty!

that is gross tuckie, no wonder she had e coli

fili - you are finding out gender? are you telling us? can't wait to find out! glad you are doing well

has anyone had thrush in the 2ww ? i only noticed when i got up nothing external just the other hmmmm

Tuckie - That is gross, I wonder if she genuinely doesn't realise. Some people were never taught about handwashing, as silly as that sounds. But who knows what she is getting into her food, or their food. I can tell it could have been awkward to confront her though.

Kat - It does sound like life is in a good place for you right now. I'm so pleased. I feel a similar sense of contentment. With Levi settling himself and sleeping through 12 hours (ish) hubs and I have the evenings. Now with another baby on the way, God willing, I think we feel as though we have moved into a new phase of life as a family. Finding our groove...now if I could only figure out how to get to all the cleaning that I have been neglecting in order to rest and nap, life would be perfect :)

Fili - exciting about the gender scan so soon!! I would onlly advise a little caution doing it so early f you are having to pay for it. I know a couple of friends who had it at 16 weeks and were told they had to come back because the person couldnt tell yet "Parts" were still too small to tell. One tured out to be a boy and the other a girl but I guess they sometimes need thos extra few weeks to tell :) I am still on the fence about finding out but dh is determined. He wants us to do the genetic blood test which would tell us a few weeks sooner than our 20 week scan...not sure what to do?!!

Amanda - Loved the video - Go D go!!! Life is about to get even busier, mama :)

Davies - Sorry that Lexi has been 10% stinker, I think they all are :) Hoping she gtes some good sleep soon so you can too. You need all the rest you can get! Such a cut little gummy bear you have!!

Jenny - When are you testing this month? I never had any weird symptoms during my 2ww but I hope its a good sign for you :)

afm - Levi went a few days without a second nap and a 6pm bedtime but thankfully he is sleeping today! We went to the mall to get a few bits for his party this weekend and then we went to Panera Bread for lunch. First time I have taken him by myself just the two of us out to eat,. He did so well I had some real mama pride. AND I got to eat my meal while he ate his cheese and turkey and organic yogurt.

Talk to you later, off for a nap!

Tuckie,
Yucky!!! Next time instead of being uncomfy the whole time, you might consider just squeezing some Purell in her hand. You know I am a germ freak. I don't hesitate to make everyone Purell. You cannot even enter my home without using Purell. No wonder she got e-coli. She probably cross contaminates everything. Everything she touched in your mom's house is now ickified.

Croy,
You sounds great hon. I am so happy for you. Yay for having lunch, just you two. Can't wait to see pics from Levi's first bday. So exciting.

Davies,
Grey is still 30% hard work. He is very determined and very NOT easy going... Like me.

AFM,
Thanks ladies for remembering my new home. I LOVE it!!! The first floor is a home gym, and where we store the stroller, my pretty, pink cruiser, and the foyer. The 2nd floor is a very large balcony/front deck, bathroom, living room and kitchen. 3rd floor are the bedrooms and baths. It is very open, bright, light, sunny and breezy. Across the street from the park and a block from a bike trail. Life is good right now and I intend to enjoy it as much as possible. Our ultimate dream is to live in an ocean view home in Manhattan Beach... $11.5 million. DH loves the open floor plans in Cali that maximize view, light and breeze. The house feels very airy and we are very happy.

Thanks croy, it's a private scan but the doc is doing it for free for me because of the promo vid I did for him :), he is a top consultant and charges 550 pounds for a gender reveal scan from 12 weeks!!!!! No way would we pay that much or anything in fact when they tell us for free at 20 weeks on Nhs!

Jen me Hun one cycle before this pregnancy. I got caniston duo and it cleared up pronto.

Fili- I can't believe you find out the gender so soon! I'm hopping on team :blue:, but I guessed that the last time (for both yours, and my own), and was wrong both times. See the reverse psychology I'm attempting here?

Croy- Glad to hear everything is going so well!

Tuckie- Your handwashing story about made me  !!!! Ewwww...I concur with Kat's solution of just squeezing some hand sanitizer in her hand, and calling it good. LOL! Oh, as far as keeping baby clothes goes, yeah, I am hanging on to every stitch of clothing that is Hannah's, as we will be trying for #2 shortly (well, starting in December, I'd say), and if we're lucky enough to conceive again and have it stick, the baby will be all set if she happens to also be a little girl! If we have a boy...well, he may just have to wear some pink stuff. Only kiddin'!!!

Fili,
I forgot that you are getting your gender scan. That is so exciting. I can't believe he is calling it so early and that is a crazy amt he usually charges. Thank goodness yours is free.

Tuckie,
I'm releasing all old clothes, swing, bouncy chair, etc as soon as I actually get an IUD. I really am determined this month. I have not had any urge towards a 2nd since we moved nearing on 2 months now. I've changed my mind twice though, so we will see. I am keeping favorite outfits however... just 1. The rest I might actually try and sell on ebay since they are pricey organics and use towards buying more toys. Has Bay been spitting up at all? G has been spitting up, huge spit ups. I think it is from crawling all around and laying on his tummy a lot to explore and touch everything. It is gross.

thanks guys i got the duo yesterday so its all clearing up nicely , im not sure i dont have any tests i might order some today online as af will be due next week i cant remember when ff said to test im basing ov on my old cycles as i had no opks i was going with my own body so who know i dont want to get all in a mess like when we were ttc kieran xxx

How exciting about Filis gender scan! You know my prediction for you, girl this time, boy next year!
Kat, pleased the neurotoxins are gone and you are in a good place. I'm trying to keep a few of my favourite outfits from both of them since I am never having any more, but after Edie I hoarded loads, thinking I would have another girl! I'm still getting rid of it all.
Tuckie, how gross. No wonder you were horrified.
Davies, great news about the scan. Life is fun with two.
Jenny good luck this cycle.
Heart, love the video. Edie didn't walk until 15 months, she was a turbo crawler.
Croy, Melfy, Andrea, hope bring pregnant with a baby isn't wearing you out too much.
Jealous of Grey sttn.
Just, hope you and Emelia are well.
Hopeful, hope those gorgeous twins are doing ok.
Wookie, everyone else I haven't mentioned, hi!
Afm, Louis started crawling yesterday at just over 7 months. He still isn't STTN but better since I bit the bullet and put him in the big cot in Edie's room. We are down to one wake up a night rather than 3, and has occasionally slept through.

hello ladies it has taken me 3 months to get onto this thread from PARL as looking after my little baby girl Lexi seems to be a full time job and playing on the computer is secondary lol. I will try to read a few pages back to catch up with what is going on but I just wanted to pop in and say hi.

Is it me, or are there a lot of baby girls named Lexi in this thread? LOL!

Good to see you in here, Dextersmom!
