My 'almost' names

Just wondering what would have been most popular of the names we almost chose!

And for those of you with babies already, what other names were your 'almosts?'

The last name starts with an M and is too syllables.

I always knew my son would be Jake

but his dad struggled to pick the other name, some of his choices where:

Billy (wish we chose this instead)
Adrian (OK, but we knew he would get bullied)
hilarious (i hate this, think he was winding me up even though it is a real name)
financial (Finn for short, i can only assume this was a joke given our surname)

I wouldn't use Madeline because your surname starts with L - those its a lovely name.

Sophia's almost names were Sophie and Sienna. Sienna is still a top contender if this one is a girl. It would definately be the name if this one is a girl if it wasnt for the fact that my parents live in Brazil and everyone there doesnt like it because its the name of a car. Maybe i should just ignore them all as i have no other girl names.

Kaydee was always going to be Kaydee, for a while it was spelt the original way Cady but i had alot of weird looks when people saw it written down becuae they thought you siad it cad-ee so we changed the spelling to it being spelt phonetically.

Tye was going to be Tyson, i put a stop to that! (his dad named him) my logistic was that i would always feel like i was calling a dog!

Georgia was Bethan Lily up unitl 8 months pregnant! Then i had a change of heart and didnt like it any more so named her after her dad.

so no long lists for me!

I found the name Asher shortly into my pregnancy and loved it, so it became my top name. However, I also liked Reagan, and it was the contender. We were going to decide at the birth but we moved when I was 4 months pregnant and our town's garbage pick up is called Regen's Disposal and it completely put me off the name.

Aww, we had Nova on one of our early lists! OH loved/loves it. Unfortunately we already know a little girl named Novah, so didn't want to use it.

DS might have been Rupert, Louis, Atticus or Albert (Albert if I'd had my way!)
DD might have been Isobel, Lydia, Isla or Aurora.
Their names are Ted (Theodore) and Violet.

Our LO is called Teagan, we toyed with the spelling a lot but it was always a name we came back too!

The names we did consider though were Evie, Caitlin, Willow and Emily.
