I am starting Clomid tomorrow (CD3) for the first time. If anyone wants to join me, FEEL FREE!! I want all the support I can get.

Let's make some babies!! :baby:

I'm in!!! I'm on cd4 of my second clomid cycle :happydance: FX this is our cycle for the bfp!!!! :hugs:

Yay! Let's get 'er done! I went and bought PreSeed and Clearblue monitors today. So expensive, but so worth it if I can get a baby out of it.

This is kind of on this subject. I went in today to get put on Provera and Clomid. I saw a Nurse practitioner, (my obgyn referred me to her) they work in the same office.
Well I go in and she said she does not want to give it to me without a full work up inside and out. The doctor just did this in April when I had my miscarriage. I got up and walked out. I have been though enough these last few months I just wanted my period. lol Not many people want it to come. But I do so we can start trying again..

Has anyone else had to do this to get on Clomid???

Thanks

My experience was that I was diagnosed with PCOS before I was prescribed clomid. And then I was in the midst of a really long cycle - already cd57 and no signs of o so they prescribed provera to kick start my period. I was seeing a fertility specialist at the time. I was diagnosed with pcos from an ultrasound. Sorry this probably isn't much help :nope:

Woohoo!!!

I tried robitussin last cycle with the clomid. I guess clomid can reduce cm and I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and it mentioned taking robitussin or mucinex to help with fertile cm. It worked for me...I had true EWCM which I have never had before. I never thought I could be so excited about cm!! :haha: So I'm going to try it again this cycle :happydance: Robitussin tastes TERRIBLE but if I get ewcm, its worth it!!

aprilm1987 - I definitely had to go through a lot of testing to get to Clomid. CD 21 blood work, CD 3 blood work, HSG, semen analysis for hubby, and an abdominal and vaginal ultrasound.

Basically, the cause for my infertility at this point is unexplained because all of my tests checked out fine. I don't have PCOS. My ovulation is the only thing out of whack, as it usually comes anywhere from CD21-35. So my doc is hoping Clomid will move my ovulation forward. Let's hope it does!

I am on my second day of my first dose of Clomid today (50mg), also seeing an acupuncturist for wellness & fertility assistance.

I've been thinking about trying acupuncture! How long have you been going to see the acupuncturist and what is it like?

Well, I have been going off & on for a couple of years (I have insomnia sometimes) & when we decided to TTC, I started going again, at least once a week (but she wants to see me twice weekly during while taking Clomid).

It is great- I go to what is called a community acupuncture clinic (so you are not in an individual appointment- you're in a room with others- which isn't at all bad, actually), mostly because she charges a sliding scale from $15-$45 and her regular "single" appointments are about $90.

It is great- so relaxing & helpful. And if you're concerned at all about pain, the needles are only a bit thicker than a guitar string. They don't hurt- at all.

A friend of mine from my neighborhood who is also TTC with Clomid & acupuncture just got her BFP a few weeks ago, so there's one good story. I will keep you update on how it works for me :)

Good luck!

Naturelady - I love the idea of doing Clomid with acupuncture. I didn't know they could go hand in hand! I am excited to see how these cycles turn out for us. Fingers crossed for us all! :)

P.S. - I hope we can all stick together this cycle for support!!

For sure I'm going to look into trying this!! Sounds like a win-win: best case scenario bfp, worst case scenario I get some relaxation time. And as all us ttc'ers know...it is very stressful!!! Thanks again for the info!! :hugs:

Of course! FX for all of us (and you're completely right about the side effects- the relaxation time is amazingly beneficial) :)

Are y'all experiencing any side effects from Clomid? So far I am feeling pretty good, although I do notice a mild headache now and then. I also had a hot flash last night! But other than that, so far so good!

I have been having insanely vivid dreams. And a few mood swings, so far. Last pill tonight- BD starting tomorrow. Here's hoping :)

So, a little interesting craziness to throw in the mix for me. Apparently there was some kind of mix up between the pharmacist and nurse calling in my Clomid prescription, and I have actually been taking 100 mg of Clomid each day for this first-ever cycle on Clomid.

Joy bubbles.

Let's hope it does the trick, because I don't know how we can go down from here in dosage and it do any good.

Hi All, first round 50mg Clomid here! I would also love to make some buddies on here as well. Its been 4 days since I finished my last pill and have had no symptoms of taking Clomid till today, I have been cramping like crazy, so hopefully its a good sign

I had to go through a few labs, check ups and a prescription of Provera. I def understand were your coming from, I actually kind of just got tired of being at the Doctors office so much and getting the run around, that I had to take a break from them trying to figure out why my cycle was not showing up. I finally changed Doctors and had them send all my labs to the new office I was actually lucky at this time because of 6 months of having no cycle it showed up 2 days before my appt, my obgyn didnt want to waste anymore time as she saw I was a little frustrated and I was put on Clomid right away.

Maybe it was meant to be and this is the cycle you get your bfp!!! :happydance:

Oh hot flashes for me!!! They start around the 4th clomid pill and then last for 3 or 4 days. I only seem to get them in the evening and during the night. Not happy waking up at 2am with hot flashes!! But at least then I know it must be doing something, right? LOL!!
