So tonight after thinking about it, i was like do i reallyyyy love my names?! which i do but i want to make sure they are names that will grow with my child if you know what i mean? Like many people name their kids Hunter, and Noah which believe me i think those names are ADORABLE and in no way am i trying to offend ANYONE i am just using them as an example! But when they get to be like 15 the "cuteness" of the name wears off if anyone gets what i am saying. So what I am afraid of is that Kaiden is going to be cute when he is a baby but when he gets to be a teen or if he wants to be a dr will it work out for him, will people take him seriously? as well as Aubree, is that a name that stops being cute and nice and will someone take her seriously?? I obviously have a really long time to decide but has anyone else ever felt like this? I think I might just wait until delivery and see what the baby looks like. But what do you all think? How did you go about picking a name?

Hey hun. I understand what you mean but the name Kaiden is really nice btw. It could still be a older persons name as well and in reality someones not gonna think any different of him because of his name. Also, Aubree is actually a really old fashioned name so i doubt anyone would think of it as babyish :)

I chose our boys name, Tyler Robert, well because I loved the name Tyler and Robert is a family thing on OH's side.

Last summer I was pregnant but it wsn't viable and we lost the baby. I have found that I have different names picked out this time, and ones I was absolutely in love with before I do not like now. Make a sticky note and write the names down so you can look at them.. maybe you will like them more and maybe they won't sound right and you'll cross them out like I do. :haha: But either way, you're right you have a lot of time and maybe once you know the sex it will be easier.. or at least that's what I tell myself ;)

I'm not at the point of thinking of names yet, but I think your questioning the names you picked out is probably normal. You want the name to be perfect. I think both of your choices will be fine when the baby grows up. Like you said, you've got a while to think about it and change your mind if you really want to.

I personally love Kaiden. I love a lot of old fashioned names too ... I think it has a lot to do with people's taste. You have a ton of time to really think about it, & I'm sure whatever name you pick for your LO will be perfect for him/her :D x

I definitely understand what you're talking about. Sometimes I wonder if my LO won't like Tori as she gets older and decide to go by Victoria, I'm totally fine with that though she will always be my little Tori to me! ;) But if she wanted to go by say Tora (another nickname of Victoria), I'd also be fine with that! Ad long as it isn't Vickie! (No offense to anyone! Just strongly dislike!) I don't think your name is too cuteish! I like it! :D

I've already had my baby girl name picked for ages. However I made sure that it was really hard to make up any nasty conotations, and that it could have a 'snazzy' nickname when she was a teen.

My sons both have quite older, more formal names. Alianna is always Ali to me, but if she wanted to she could just become Anna. Personal choice. I like the name Kaiden. As Sam said, it's normal to question your name choices.

We will be naming our son, Jamal Malik. Jamal means "handsome" and Malik means "a strong military leader".

I am naming our little girl Aubree and I don't think it is too cute or babyish. I had it picked out since my first miscarriage. It is a very old fashion name and if you read more into the name it was meant to be a name for a noble man. It also can mean elf-king or elf-wisdom. But as times have changed they see it more of a girls name. I am in love with Aubree and feels like it would grow with her into adulthood.
