IVF ‘boost’ in diet pill

OLDER British women having IVF are snapping up a cheap dietary supplement from America after it was shown to boost fertility.
Patients taking DHEA (dehydroepi-androsterone) – a naturally-produced hormone – have more ripe eggs, early studies show.
Some doctors in the US now recommend women aged over 40 take three daily doses of DHEA, found in dietary supplements costing as little as 50p. But some experts say further tests are needed, as it could increase breast cancer risk. They urged Brits to consult GPs.
DHEA’s claimed benefit was discovered after a 42-year-old patient at a New York clinic took the drug without telling doctors in 2004. Further tests showed it helped boost the pregnancy rate from 11 per cent to 23 per cent at the surgery.
Experts think it induces a safe form of polycystic ovary syndrome – which causes lots of ripening eggs that fail to release naturally.

So is it a natural kind of clomid? If it is I think I'll get some TBH
