Naughties by Nature

will they not give you an early scan for reasurrance due to the previous loss, i thought they did.

your coming up to 8 weeks so should be seeing a midwife soon, if you tell them how anxious you are they might be able to arrange something.

I asked and they said no as i have only had 1 mc and the odds of me having another are the same as with a new pregnacy. Also i am not seeing the MW until i am 12 weeks on the 24/04 because that seems to be how they do things areound here! :growlmad: It will only be 5 days until my scan by that point.

oh thats poo. its a shame you cant afford a private scan i found it so reasuring to have one at 8 weeks, then again i still had a breakdown around 12 weeks worrying something had happened.

im sure this one is a sticky bean though.

That wait is just the worst, isn't it Raz? It's such a shame you can't get an early scan...
I'm so sure everything will be OK though. :hugs:

It's my last day at work today!! :happydance:
I have been ready to finish for a couple of weeks now... of course now that it's here I'm feeling really weird about it. I'm going to miss it - at least until Stinky comes. I've got my work laptop at home and will probably do sneaky checks of my email to keep up with what's going on.

Off to the mw this morning. And on Monday I have my hospital appt on Monday morning too - when I'll be able to pick Stinky's birth date!! Apparently they'll show me the diary and let me choose. Obviously I'll just be picking the first date I'm allowed! I am SO ready to get him outta there.
My pregnancy has not been difficult by any means, but it has certainly been less comfortable than the last one. Apparently that's quite normal for a second pregnancy. Every time I've complained to my mw about my aches and pains and general discomfort she's just nodded and said "Yep. It's your second. You'll get that."

yay freyas mum, welcome to mat leave :hugs:

great that you get to pick the date. so how are we all gonna know all has gone well, could oh e mail one of us.

hey ladies.

not dropped in for a while so thought i would tonight.

hope your all good!

Hang in there Razcox, I felt exactly the same as you if u read back though my TTC journal, and am still here now :hugs:

:wohoo: for nearing eviction time Freyasmum

AFM, am half way through today according to my ticker, although am sure will be hanging on to the bitter end so have realistically got another week and a half til I get to that point, and am getting some sort of movement at least daily :cloud9:

1 week today and I get to see Pip again :happydance:

Yay for regular movements mum2be!!

I just got back from my mw, who said I am looking very tired and puffy. :( BPs OK though so she's not worried. She also said I'm measuring about 40 weeks!! She's picking Stinky will be over 4kg. Thank god I won't have to push him out!

Beth, I will have my phone with me, and hopefully my netbook too. The hospital doesn't have wireless unfortunately, but my sister has a USB thingy which I can borrow so I should be able to update reasonably soon after myself!

I'm feeling remarkably calm and organised now... the only thing we haven't got sorted is a name!

that'll be sorted eventually :D and at least he'll have some sort of identity (AKA Stinky) until then lol

Hello everyone,

Sorry I've not been around for a while but as you can imagine I was always at the hospital, but I am VERY pleased to say that the hospital visits have stopped and actually stopped on Mothers Day because my little man come home on Mothers Day, we've been very busy since then what with visitors and trying to get a routine going so I've not even touched my laptop since he came home. We are really loving it, he's such a good boy and only cries when he's hungry or we change him, he is absolutely gorgeous even if I do say so myself. He was weighed yesterday by the health visitor and he now weighs 5lb exactly, bless him.

Glad to hear everything is going ok with you mum2be, I would love to see the 3D photo's????

Raz, I know how hard it is to have to wait for your scan once you've had a mc but believe me even if you had an early scan you would still be just as worried until you hit 12 weeks anyway. It will come round quickly I'm sure. xx

Freyasmum, not long now till stinky arrives, I'm so excited. xx

Topaz, Callum really is so cute at his naming ceremony, you must be very proud of him.

Hugs to everyone else.xx

awe pip thats the best news ever, so glad he is doing well, cant wait to see more pics of him. what a fab mothers day pressie.

freyasmum thats great that you ll be able to update us all, you know how we worry. plus we want to know how things go.
is stinky not the official name then, i thought it was rather original. :haha::haha:

good to hear from you samzi. hope LO is doing well.

yay for regular movements mum2be. its the best feeling isnt it. well untill lo gets a lot bigger then you think they are gonna tear there way out.

my friend is 34 weeks today, so not long til her little one arrives, we are meeting up next week to disscuss her birth plan so i know what she wants as im gonna be her birth partner, im quite nervous about seeing a birth from the other side but so honoured to be there to welcome callums half brother into the world.

Sorry for not updating sooner ladies :) Well appt on Weds was a waste of time, was just an appt with a consultant who told us exactly what the GP had already told us about scans etc. He didn't even bother looking at Zara so was a complete waste of time. First ultrasound should hopefully be in a couple of weeks and then further tests over the next month. I'm not worried though as Z seems absolutely fine :)

Razcox - hang in there hun, those first few weeks are just one long waiting game, I know I was lucky enough to be able to afford a private scan at 8w but even after that I was still worrying constantly until my 12 week scan, in fact I don't think I really stopped worrying until I had her safely sat on my chest after birth and screaming her lungs out

Pipkin - how nice that you were home on mothers day and that things are going well :happydance: :happydance:

Freyasmum - the end is in sight :happydance:

Mum2be - halfway!!! that seems to have flown by :) , now you can start the countdown to maternity leave :)

I know blondie, I am amazed at how far we are now :D Maternity leave may start a bit earlier depending on how it works out as I need to get my full years holiday in before the beginning of August :wohoo: and hoping that I will be able to use it to cut my hours down but we shall see what mood my manager is in when I ask....

Glad to hear that the naughtie LO's are doing so well, :D

Razcox, I forgot to say so am agreeing with Pip, although I had the scan at 7 weeks, my fears were just as heightened :hugs: you will be fine

My hoildays run april to march so as i wont be here from Oct am i still entitled to the full years hoildays then???

yeah hun all but bank holidays.

mum 2 be i used my al to only work 2 days a week most weeks from about 6 months gone. then took 2 weeks before starting mat leave.

meemee - good to see you. And look at your gorgeous wee Sienna! So pleased to hear she's sleeping well too - what a star.
She really is beautiful.

Hi all.
Had my hospital appointment yesterday and finally got the date for my c-section... Sadly though it's not until 12th April.
Which is cool, I guess, except I was really hoping to get him about a bit sooner than that. The doctor suggested I have loads of :sex: in the meantime in the hopes I go into labour naturally, but I'm not sure I can!! Everything just aches, and to be honest I don't know that I could even stay awake long enough!!

I'm struggling a bit with not working too. Felt at a bit of a loss today. Managed to keep away from my work emails nearly all day though (just weakened a few minutes ago)... I know it'll be different when Stinky's here, but for now it is just a bit strange.

Ooh, and I don't know if I've update this in here already, but it looks like Stinky has a name!! :happydance:
We were talking about it over dinner the other night and OH asked Freya what she thought we should call him. She suggested Mario (which is better than Stinky I guess), because she's a Nintendo fan. I was worried for a minute, because OH has definitely been leaning towards some gaming influenced names... but then he suggested Ollie. Which I LOVE! We're still calling him Stinky for now though, because we don't want to tell anyone till he's born. And I'll probably register him as Oliver, but we will call him Ollie.

i love the name oliver aka ollie.

callum had his 3 month injections yest, i was dreading them cos he was so off it after the last lot but thhankfully he was fine this time and he has even gone back to sleeping through the night this past week. :happydance:

I hope my LO is as settled as all of yours seem to have been, although from the night I had last night I think it could be a pure miracle... DH kept me awake most of last night and Pip was definatley keeping me company....
