Hi! Ive had a difficult few years, Ive got two gorgeous children, Ella who is 3 and Matthew who is 10 months. I love them dearly but they havent had the easiest starts to life and as ive spent a large portion of matthews short 10 months in the hospital my eating habits have been truly awful and if im honest i havent had five mintues to even think about exercise!
BUT
Both my kiddies are on the up, both of them have been out of hospital for at least 2 months (fingers crosses we might get away with not going in again this year!) so ive decided enoughs enough, im not happy with my weight but mostly im fed up of looking like a blob! I need to loose about a stone and most of all i need to tone up and get some shape back!
Anyone have any advice on the best way to do this? Ive cut down on the calories, switched to drinking water, and started doing exercise (walking, running, fitness dvd ect.)

Thanks! :)

Hi! I also need a little support so maybe we can help each other?
I don't have a lot of weight to lose and one of my friends was moaning at me earlier that I don't need to lose anything. But I haven't reached my goal weight (which is a healthy weight for my height) and I also hate my love handles! At the moment I'm doing the 7 day 'all you can eat' diet. I know its a fad and I've never been one for quick fix diets but I feel like this is going to jump start me to make healthier food choices and also to drink more water. I'm also trying to get up early at least three times a week to do some exercise.
What you are doing is perfect! And the healthiest way to approach weight loss.

For me- it took counting calories and tracking calories burned (at the gym or walks)- and using the loseit app to track it all so I would keep honest! lol. I just cannot be left to my own devices- even on maintenance mode I still track calories. Now though- because I lost the weight, I've been more focused on eating even healthier (clean eating)- no processed foods etc. I'm not 100%- and don't plan to be- but generally speaking, I do well and I just feel better overall.

I think you start and just add in things- I started with workouts, then eventually eating healthier, then after LO was born- I tracked calories and bumped up my workouts so I burned more-- now it's about eating even healthier etc...

You have a great start! Just keep it up hun

Hello...well done to you for getting through what I can only imagine must have been a difficult time for you and your family.

When you're as busy as you, I would suggest something easy to follow and good for the family...I have joined slimming world and in 2 weeks lost 10lbs...the reason I like it is becuase you don't need to exclude certain foods, just be careful about what you eat, honestly, it's very good and very easy.

I have quite a bit of weight to lose so it was really important to me to have something that I could work with long term and fit into a very busy family life i.e. not having to cook different food etc.

If you want to know anything else please let me know, happy to help

Hi there! Eating healthily is the way forward! Lots of fruits, veggies and protein, eat water and try to up your exercise. I don't believe in quick fixes or fad diets any more, we just need to be mindful of what we ate putting in our mouths. Eating healthily also equals feeling better in my experience. Good luck and remember you have been through alot and deserve to feel better!x
