Hello everyone. I'm not too sure how to start this, so I guess I will just get right to the case. My husband and I are ttc a baby. I have PCOS so this has been a little rough on our own. We finally gave in and went to a fertility center for help. Last month I was on Femara 5mg when I got my ultrasound on cd 13 my largest follice was 6 mm. I was instructed to just use opks and see how it goes. I got a + on cd 20 but nothing happened and I had to get Provara to start af. This month they upped my femara for 7.5. I went in today and get my u/s and my biggest was an 11mm. She said it wasn't that great and to do what we did last month. I disagreed and wanted to wait and see if they grew esp since I was around a week behind last month. Was that a good move? She acted like we were going to waste our money by getting another u/s on cd 17. But agreed we could because my husband and I want to give it a try to get the trigger shot if we are good Friday. I guess I'm trying to see if there's as much of a possibility for a good size follicle on Friday and a little encouragement. She said the trigger would be pointless if I get a positive opk because I would be o'ing. In my heart I don't feel this is not the case because I have an overy full of cysts that prove otherwise. I honestly feel in my heart that if I can get a good follicle and the trigger shot that we would have a fair chance this month. Sorry this is so long. I think I just kind of needed to vent also. Has anyone else ever had this or am I just thinking too positively? Would appreciate any insight of any kind.

I haven't been where you are and honestly don't know much about what you ate referring to, but I wanted to offer BIG HUGS because it sounds like you could use it. Hopefully someone more helpful will be able to give you more input.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear about your struggles but it sounds like you are moving in the right direction! I don't have pcos but am taking Fermera for the first time this cycle.

In my opinion, the huge difference in size of the follicles is great news! I think it was smart to see if it grows -it's your body and I'd encourage you to trust your intuition!❤️ It sounds very likely to me. And if it doesn't, well you won't regret not trying and hopefully it'll give some valuable information that will help next cycle!
Best wishes to you!!

Thank you both so much! I kept looking back at this to see if anyone would comment with something positive!!

I hope your femara turns out good for you! I am trying to get switched to injectable if this round of femara doesn't work. DH and I are not wanting to wait too long and femara turns me into a devil woman

That sounds like a good plan. Hope it works out this time around! <3

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has devil-woman side effects from Fermera!! I've been crying and moody...kicked the elevator because I forgot to get something at the store... wow. Can't wait to take the last one tonight and get this out of my system!!

No you definitely are not the only one. I always hear that is doesn't have many side effects and most woman are good with it. I am not at all! I get so upset with my husband that I think he doesn't love me anymore and I cannot be reasonable no matter how hard I try! It's crazy! I am soooo glad I'm not the only one either! How long have you been taking femara?

This is my first cycle trying Fermera. I hope it works! I have unexplained dx, so I'm not sure how much I should hope that this is the key. I have my first ultrasound on Sunday to check everything out so hopefully everything will look good!!
When Is your next ultrasound to check the follicles?

Oh awesome! I go Friday Hopefully we will both get good news this weekend!! If it can work halfway for me I think you have a good chance of it helping for sure! Even though I have trouble I feel so blessed to have a chance this cycle. It might just be me but for some reason I have a really good feeling. If I'm wrong I will be a little sad but there's always next month. I just want to know what it is that my body will work with to get pregnant. It's nice talking to someone in the same boat as me for sure!! I have been having cramps this whole cycle. Since cd 8. Have you had any cramping or anything different this cycle?

Keep me posted on what the results are on Friday! You're just 2 days from finding out so that's great! Interesting you've been cramping- I always feel great during the first half of my cycle and then usually feel a lot of symptoms from progesterone once I ovulate :|

I'm just glad I took my last fermera last night. :)

Hopefully we have some eggs ready to be fertilized this weekend..... we are ready for you, babies! :-D

Yes! I totally know the feeling! It's so great to be able to go in and see how everything looks compared to the month before. I woke up today and took my opk and it gave me a blinking which I am soooo EXCITED about! There's two different ones though. A solid one or a blinking one. I got the blinking which means "high fertility" but the one not blinking means the big O. I am way more excited about my appointment tomorrow now!!! Had to share with you! I woke up with terrible cramps and bloating like crazy! How have you been feeling?

Awesome news! Well, with that response on the OPK and the bloating/cramping it sounds like ovulation is just around the corner! Perfect timing for the ultrasound tomorrow!! Let me know how it goes!

I feel good :) Nervous about the ultrasound on Sunday but I know it'll be here before I know it. A mom walked by with a tiny baby and it randomly made eye contact with me and waved to me- I took this to be a good sign haha :)

Aww that's so cute!!! I love when you see babies and they give you that cute smile or a little wave!! Melts my heart. I noticed your info on the bottom and I'm 29 too. Well until feb 4th when the big 30 catches me lol. I cannot believe how anxious I am! I was fine until I got that flashing smiley this morning lol. For me that is a huge deal. My follicle has to be at least an 18mm and I'm scared to death it is going to be a 17mm or something lol. Are you getting a trigger if your follicles are good sun? I soooo hope we both get good news. I will be praying soooo hard

I know, this is nerve racking! Very exciting for you though since you may have an egg ready to ovulate! :D So, it has to be 18mm to be 'ready'? I hope that's what it is then!!

Yes, I have my trigger shot, and if they say I'm ready I'll do it. Here's a question- what if I ovulate on my own before the ultrasound on Sunday? That would be very early, but I wonder if the Fermera can speed things up... I'm feeling signs of ovulation already!

Almost your birthday!! Hopefully you get a good present... :-)
Good luck tomorrow!! <3

Hey! I'm sorry it took me so long to let you know how everything went. My dad had a heart attack tonight so I just got home from the hospital. On a good note I have 2 follicles that are good!!! One is 19mm and the other is 16 1/2 mm!!! I'm going to do my trigger in the morning because she wanted to give me one more day to get the littlest one a little time to get bigger. So I am sooooo excited!!! What does your O pains feel like? I think if you ovulated before you got the trigger then you would still be ok because you don't have PCOS. I honestly think I have to have it or else my eggs wouldnt drop because the PCOS. I can't wait to see how your follicles look!!! I hope they are good and we will both get our shots and have a good weekend :-)

I'm sorry I forgot to say about the follicles. Yeah my dr likes to see them at a 18mm but I have read that a 16 mm has made a baby too so I think it depends on the Dr. Anywhere from 16-20+ is good on my book lol!

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad :( is he ok?

Wow, this is great news. You did the right thing to wait them out it sounds like!!

That is awesome you have 2 eggs ready to go!!!! I hope this is the month for you! <3 Monday trigger, so probably ovulate on Wednesday?

So, I did my ultrasound a day early because I was really anxious about ovulating early. They said my lining was 8.5, I had a follicle on the right 22mm and left was 11 I think. My husband did the trigger shot for me there (saves a little money I guess), so now we wait and see :-)

Omg yayyy!! Did you do your trigger today? I just did mine at 9am! How are you feeling? What cd is it for you? Sorry for all the questions I'm just sooo excited!! Sounds like we are EXACTLY on the same page!!! I'm on cd 18 :-)

Thanks! Is 22mm too big? That is awesome, I took the trigger today at 9am too! So wonderful to have a friend :-)

No 22 mm is good. I was told that it can be up to 30 mm haha. Ive never heard of anyone having one that big though. I think like 24 mm is the biggest I've heard of people having roughly. I don't think it matters as long as they are at least 18mm by what my dr said. So you feel anything? My stomach is bloated like crazy and I'm soooo tired. I felt really nauseous earlier but took a couple hour nap in the vehicle because we are at monster jam today haha

Thanks, Brandy :-)

How fun!

I feel pretty bloated/crampy which is typical for me before ovulation. Really hoping this works!!
