I used cloth nappies with my first LO from about 6 months old so I'm a bit clueless when it comes to newborn cloth!

I have approx 28 nappies, does this sound like enough? I plan on washing every other day...

Also, they can just start off with a microfibre insert can't they? They won't need boosting for a while? I do have bamboo boosters from last time but I will need to buy more if they do!

I'm the same as you. I started with cloth nappies at 6 months last time too.

I've got my newborn nappies for this time round. From the research I have done they don't need boosting (and I remember really frequent changes).

I've read that something a bit more gentler for babies is better than the microfibre insert. I have got some cotton liners from disana and also some raw silk ones for sore bottoms.

I think 28 is plenty. They say 8 to 12 nappy changes a day. I have about 28 too. I guess it depends on how much time we get to wash them :)
