NK Cell Testing

Hi Ladies looks like I am on loss number 5 HCG levels at 6 weeks were 26 and seem to have plateaued.

I am doing some research on the above and wondering if any of you guys have gone down this route?

sorry for your loss. Have you heard of a site called babyloss i have been on it for a few years since i had a mmc there are a number of ladies on there who have had the nk cell testing and have since gone on to have a healthy baby after testing positive (quite recently) Im sure they will give you all the advise you could need as there very helpful

Hi Lawa, so sorry you're going through this.

There is a NKC trial that began in Liverpool that I think is now in Birmingham (Heartlands?), led by Professor Siobhan Quenby. There is some information on the Miscarriage Association website, or could try the hospital directly. This is, I think, the only trial where they do a sample of NKCs in the uterus rather than more general (and expensive) blood tests.

There is also a section about immunological testing on HFEA website the which gives the "official" information.

Lawa, Fluffyblue has been seen by Prof Quenby at Heartlands and is 14 weeks pregnant, she's posted about it in a thread in the m/c section and is happy to provide info, contact details etc.
