We do this every year, have done since i was like 5 or something.
Brilliant day for the kids, and you
Tanfield Railway do a trip to the 'north pole', its £9 pp and you go on the steam train and once at destination all kids see santa, get a present off him in the specially made grotto (its so good lol) and then you go to the little cafe and have seasonal refreshments (mulled wine, mince pies, hot chocolate and the sorts) until the train comes back to take you back to Tanfield.
SUCH A GOOD DAY lol!
Saturday and Sunday : 29th & 30th November
: 6th & 7th December
: 13th & 14th December
: 20th & 21st December
Tuesday and Wednesday : 23rd & 24th December
Times each day are : 10:40 and 11:20am,
12:00, 12:40, 1:20, 2:00, 2:40, 3:20 and 4:00pm
