||November 2011 Mummies :D || Parenting and Life Discussion!

We haven't done one since our son's first halloween in 2009. The pumpkins around at the moment are tiny and pathetic. Perhap's next year. Here's a pic of our epic 2009 pumpkin, can you guess who it is?

Rockin is it Jack from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"? I love that film! And your pumpkin is brilliant too - you and Shortie put me to shame ;) x

Shortie your pumpkin looks AMAZING! I will defo do one next year but perhaps not cut a face into it - like the idea of a cat. DD and I were watching an episode of Peppa Pig where she falls off her bike into a massive pumpkin tonight and it sent her hysterical. Not sure if it was empathy with Peppa or the squashed pumpkin but she took a lot of consoling! We went to a Halloween party this afternoon and she went as a pumpkin...perhaps she really connects with large orange squashes?! I also ate her goody bag. She is too young to be having all that chocolate! HA HA! Keeps my mind off the next long hard 3 weeks!

Aww thanks! It was OHs first pumpkin, couldn't beleive he's 26 and has never carved one!! Took him about 15 mins max, mine took me ages getting in and out of all those teeth!!

3 hours untill our month.... Exciting!!

Riley loved the pumpkins he kept laughing and giggling at them, and trying to eat them...:dohh:

Wish we'd been to a Halloween party, feel a bit mean not dressing Riley up, but seemed pointless seen as no one was gonna see him!

ive never carved a pumpkin and im 22. ive also never made a gingerbread house or dyed easter eggs. so me and LO will have our firsts together next year!!

That's the same with me! I'm pretty excited, I also get to share my first proper Christmas with LO because I'm never really done it in the past. Roll on baby and roll on December

So how is everyone? I noticed a lot of people have ditched this thread .
Oh well, that's life. Congratulations to any of our girls who have had babies and haven't been able to post, and congratulations to the girls that have.

Keep us updated with your labor signs :)

thats exciting to be able to celebrate your first proper christmas with your baby. my family always gets together for a huge gathering at my mom's aunt's house on christmas eve but i think we're gonna skip this year because our baby will a little over a month old and i dont want to drive or ride 3 hours there visit for a few hours and drive 3 hours back i think thatd be a lot so soon.

ive been having a lot of cramping and contractions and extremely bad back pains. i hope this means shes gonna try to come on her own i really dont want to be induced but i cant afford for her to come any later than next week due to school and work!

Well it sounds promising :) Hopefully she is getting ready to pop out :haha:
Yeah we'd spend the Christmas holiday with family, but we didn't do Christmas (it was because it usually the only weekend everyone could get off work). I'll be skipping that this year too, it's 6-8hrs drive to my grandparents and aunties and uncles places so a bit too far with a newborn.

is this your first? this is my first and some family tried telling me she'll be old enough to be around everyone but i just dont want 30 people holding and kissing her in the middle of flu season when shes that little. my mom wants to come to us to celebrate but me and OH kind of want to have our first christmas just be the three of us and our two dogs!

You she's our first. I know she'd be alright with everyone, it's more that half are opinionated and the other half think they have a right to pick up my child without my permission. I love my family to bits, but I want to make sure I have my own routine and rules set in stone before I go near them, because I just know they will try and tell me how to raise her. It'd be in good faith, but I don't want to be swayed from it.

Also because she is our first and it is my first Christmas OH and I have decided that it will be him, myself and LO and maybe mum.

I want LO here before Saturday because FIL has court and is probably going to jail and I want him to see his first granddaughter before then, but I don't think she will want to come. She was supposed to be here a week ago according to doctors but that obviously didn't happen because until last week she'd unenegaged and turned traverse. She's stuck in head down position now though thank goodness!

HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERY ONE!!!!!

So excited its finally November, are we allowed our thread in 3rd tri yet?? (if a new one is made please some one tell me incase I miss it!!) it's nice to have a list who's had their babies etc to keep every one up to date!! I really thought things might have been starting as we :sex: DTD twice on Sunday, and I started feeling really strange, but looks like hat hand made any difference!

Hope we are all ok!

Hey Sarah  who knows, you might not make it to due date. There are a couple but I haven't seen our 'official' thread yet. Might repost this one there :p

Wow those pumpkin's were amazing!! Never thought of doing anything other than a face in a pumpkin before ^.^
HAPPY NOVEMBER EVERYONE!! Can happily relax and enjoy it now that baby is garenteed to come this month, I really didn't want him to come in October :haha: (I like odd numbers )

Hurrah! NOVEMBER! Ladies in the UK, get yourself to a bommy on Saturday. Who knows, all that noise might get babies moving! 3 weeks today to my section. Whilst I'm not relishing the recovery, I'm hoping that it will be better than last time, having gone through labour and then EMCS. I was sooooooooooo tired! Not sure that there is any more room left in my belly for baby. Sometimes the movement hurts and I feel it right across my tummy. I just want to be more mobile for Grace's sake. Went to our toddler group this morning and I knew that she would've liked to stay a bit longer but I just didn't have the energy to chase around after her. Roll on 3 weeks! Soooooooooooo exciting for us all! xx
