Sam.You just took the words out of my mouth!I am going through the same.My sweet angel has been taken away and replaced with satans spawn lol.The throwing thing drives me nuts.I hope it passes.I can't even leave her at creche anymore. If it don't pass soon then I'm going to give her to the next person who says shes adorable and what am I on about!

Abi Lou now weighs 9lb 5oz so 1lb in a fortnight a good weight gain.my 6 week check is on tues.Going to ask to be sterilised.I have now very sadly given up boob feeding.I'm gutted but need some order in my life. But oh my god I have footballs attached to my chest.I had a vodka last night to take away the pain.Didn''t work but my god I felt good!

Morning and Hugs to all xxxxxx

Wow, sounds like everyone's getting more sleep than me! In the last week David has become a real handful. He wants to comfort nurse ALL THE TIME, which means either my nipple (his favorite by far), or the pacifier, which he'll spit out pretty often. I mean, I have had him on my breast for stretches of 3-4 hours, easy. I am happy to get an hour break from him during the day when I'm home with him by myself... it happened once so far, lol. So no shower 'til DH is home, sadly. It's just that he'll cry and wail if he's not got something in his mouth to suckle for most of the day. It's very frustrating/tiring.

At night he'll generally sleep 2-3 hours without waking, will wake up to feed/comfort nurse for an hour, then will sleep another 2-3. Thankfully I'm not working, so I'll nap when he sleeps. However, he won't sleep anywhere but on top of me, or in his carseat. I cannot for the life of me get him to sleep in his crib, even if I put him in when he's sound asleep, because he'll wake up crying and inconsolable. It definitely tests my patience.

So I'm hoping he'll stop comfort nursing as often pretty soon... I'm praying it's just a growth spurt, plus the added fussiness with his sudden gas attacks (I've stopped eating wheat and dairy for the next 2 weeks, hoping it will help), and that soon I'll have some time to myself again.

You're all so lucky.

Josh was sleeping 11-3 then 3.30-6 then 6.30-9 ...untill the other week. Now he's not going down untill 4 or 5 - he's wide awake staring at us or wailing because his tummy's poorly, he just won't settle. And when we do get him to settle, it's when he's in our bed and the minute you move him into his own moses and turn the light off he's awake and sobbing.

The last 2 nights we've ended up putting him on top the covers between us (so we don't smother him in duvets in the night) leaving the lights on and dosing whenever he does.

Evening girls
Well Mark is snuggled on the sofa with Rosie, who is all ready for bed, all she needs in her next feed, going to try her with 5oz, she usually has 4oz at 9:30-10ish and sleeps till 5:30, so will see what the 5oz does, thats if she wants it.

Ria i hope things get better soon hun, give Josh a big hug from me and Rosie
Camoqueen i hope things settle for you also, maybe it is just a mixture of growth spurts and gas
4thbump good luck with the 6 week check, hope you get the result you want re the sterislisng bless you.

Girls what are you doing to stimulate your LO's? I feel like she's so bored. She isn't content to be put down, but there's only so many times I can walk around the house telling her what everything is, telling her what all her body parts are, etc. She won't sit in her chair very often either to just look around. Its either my face or nothing. Even when we walk around she still just stares at my face lol.

Rosie loves the telly and all the Christmas lights, she also loves lying on her changing mat with just her nappy on and kicking her legs, or being tickled, blowing raspberries on her belly etc

Hi all. Sorry I havent had time to read though!

All going well here! Aidan is doing well and mummy is feeling pretty much back to normal. Well apart from needing more sleep!

Were off to tackle the crowds today and get some last minute shopping. Whilst OH goes out for his works do...lucky bugger!!

Hope everyone is well, and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!! x

Hi all!! Hope you'rell ready for christmas with your new LO's!! We're so excited - have the in-laws coming down. Should be good!
What are you lot up too?

Rae, do you have a bouncer? I put Oliver in his - it vibrates and has lights, moving things and music on it. He really loves it!! It took a few goes for it to not freak him out, but he soon got used to it!! He also loves the window and, for some reason, our bookcase!!! As you said, we play with his fingers and things and sing along while we do it. He has just started giggling at really random things, so we must e doing something right! Also, if you show her something, move it slowly. They can't track fast things yet, so make sure her eyes have a lock on the item bfore you move it.
Good luck and let us know how you both get on!!

hey ladies! Just spotted the revived November thread and had to get back in! I haven't had time to get on B&B for sooo long! It's great to hear everyone is doing so well! Jem, sorry to hear about the car accident! Kat, you sound like you're doing brilliantly!! Zac has settled more the last two weeks, and is getting more predictable, he is a little tinker! We get him down about midnight at the moment, one night feed (getting later and later... Not till 5.10am this morning!) then back to sleep till about 7.00am ish. Much better than previously. How do you get them to sleep less in the day and go to bed earlier??! I keep him as busy as possible with walks, kicking, bath, swing seat, jungle gym but he still ends up sleeping a bit too much. Hummmmm! Hope you all have a great Xmas!

Merry Christmas Ladies!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their first Christmas with their new babies. x

Happy Christmas November Mummies and all your gorgeous babies!!! x x

Merry Christmas everyone! xxx

Well what a hellish few days I've had. You know I said Ollie had been poorly with a cough and cold, well it all went manic Friday night. I'd noticed he wasn't feeding well all day and not really waking up. I told Tim and he said he was probably tired from being poorly so not to worry. Anyway we woke him at 10.30pm as he hadn't feed since 5pm and when we finally roused him his eyes were all crossed eyed and rolling to the back of his head. We noticed he was pale and because we couldn't keep him awake long enough to feed we rang NHS Direct. They said to go to A&E immediately. Once we were finally seen after an hour and a half the doc took his temp and listened to his heart. He had a hight temp and his heart was racing. He got a paediatrion doc and all hell let loose. She said he was a really poorly baby. By this point his skin was mottled, he was even paler, floppy and still unresponsive and had a raised soft spot. All these led to suspected meningitis. She immediately got him on 3 different antibiotics and started testing him for everything. He had to have a lumber puncture to rule out meningitis (OMG I was in such a state with this as it's the worse pain imaginable apparently) and it was done twice as they got blood in the first one. He had a chest x ray, blood tests, stool and urine sample and mucous sample from his nose. The bloods came back at 2.30am and showed an infection but couldn't say where. The lumber puncture came back at 4am and that was clear. By the morning all the other tests came back as clear too. They cultured the spinal fluid and bloods to see if anything developed and those results came back Monday morning. They were clear too. It took a long time to stablise him at first as his temp was making his heart race and thus the reason for his eyes being how they were. He was on a heart monitor for that and once they controlled the temp, his heart monitor came off. It was so scary and to hear the words "he's borderline resussiation" absolutely destroyed me. Me and Tim were beside ourselves but Ollie was such a strong fighter and pulled through whatever it was that was wrong with him. They've concluded that it was a viral infection but we'll never know where it was or why it affected him like it did. He came home Monday (my birthday) and went back for daily antibiotics Tues and Weds and that's it, no more hospital. It's been a hellish few days but the main thing is Ollie back home and better! x

Jem,
Oh my god, thank god ollie is okay. You must have been beside yourself. Sending you both lots if hugs. I was halfway through and so worried it was meningitis, I cannot believe you waited an hour and a half to be seen, that is unbelievably dangerous. Hope you all had a lovely family Christmas. Xxxxxx

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good first Christmas with your LO's. :D

I haven't read the thread (sorry), but just popped in to say I've kinda left B&B now. :( Not purposely, I just don't have time anymore. Molly's asleep at the moment so I've got a few minutes to myself but when she's awake, different story! I have to be there. Even if I'm not interacting with her, she just likes to be able to see me. Oh well.

Ahh, she's just kicked off. Must dash!

Hi Girls!! Before I start writing i just want to say I am soo glad Ollie is ok Jem!!

Hope you all had great christmasses!!

Me and Maley are doing great! Had a bit of problems in the beginning as I didnt see anyone (no MW or HV) until she was gone 4 weeks!!! I ended up taking her baby clinic at 2.3 weeks as she was vomiting ALOT and i was worried she hadnt put on weight. They didnt want to see me as it was for older babies but as i started crying, we were then seen. Since then I have had one HV visit and thats it...nothing else. So i dont know how much she weighs now  Though she is happy and feels and lot heavier and looks alot plumper so she is definately gaining weight. The sickness isnt so bad now but i still trying to get the doc to give me Gaviscon but she keeps saying no!!! I just have to wind her for a good 45 minutes after each feed and make sure she stays upright and not move for a while. My mum said i was exactly the same when i was a baby. But she is a really good baby and is taking it all in her stride. She is feeding 5oz every 3-4 hours at the moment....though i may increase it as she has started moaning after each feed and sucking her lips off so i think she wants more!!

We have a routine going which is great so im not that much sleep deprived. She has a bath at 10pm every day, bottle at 10.30pm, then relaxes on the sofa with mummy and daddy for a while and is then put to bed in her moses basket at 11.30....she then sleeps to 5am or sometimes later depending on how comfy she is and then has another bottle and then sleeps til 9-10am. She is then up and awake!

Im fine.....really happy and back in my pre-pregnancy clothes (although some are too big)....i had a haircut and bought some new clothes for christmas and feel really good.

Have had the odd smile out of Maley but it very quick and she seems more content in staring at me!! Though she gives her dady lots of smiles the cheeky madam!!

I am sooo looking forward to playing with her!

Sounds like your doing great Rachiebaby!!!
Oliver is really settled now too, especially with the Gaviscon - totally different baby.
Sounds like everyone had a great christmas with their little ones.
Oliver has his first lot of jabs tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I feel sick just thinking about it and know I'm gonna cry more than him!! Wish me luck x x
