So nice to read up on how everyone is doing. How strange to think we've all got our babies now.
Some of you are sooo lucky with how your LOs sleep! We are having a bit of a nightmare with trying to get Erin to sleep on her own. My mum is staying with us at the moment and cuddles her constantly and she's now sooo used to being held while she sleeps that the second we put her down, her little eyes flick open! Lately she has decided that anywhere between 11pm and 1am is bed time and she will then wake at 3am for a feed and again between 6 and 7am then she'll sleep til 9 or 10. On top of this she fights sleep so badly - like she's worried she's going to miss out on something. She will doze ever so lightly in case there's something more exciting to be doing.
How do you guys do it? Do you keep bed time as quiet and boring as possible so that sleep is the most exciting option? Also, do you leave a light on? We have the cot in our room (although I always fall asleep breastfeeding so technically she sleeps in bed, on me), but I like to be able to see her - I have terrible night vision. Should I be putting her in the dark??
This is all such a learning curve!!1
