O/T Grammar pet peeve!

People always say text talk is so lazy but I think of it the opposite way. The few times I've tried to be "hip with the kids" it did my head in trying to spell everything out. It bugs me that my MIL uses text speak in her texts. I still think predictive text is 10x easier!!

That's all the really bugs me though. My grammer/spelling/puncuation is horrid. So forgive me all you grammer nazi's if you read my posts

This is way off topic, but then again, it's my off topic thread to begin with so what the hell! (See I mess up too, that sentence structure was horrid!)

Anywho, I just wanted to say I love the name Phoebe Linn.

You just made my night!! I always get weird looks at it!

What I want to know is how this thread could go for 7 pages and not get redirected to either hot men or food. A thread about diapers or nurseries I understand but a thread about pet peeves?

My pet peeves? Dry cake and hot men who don't dress the part. What a waste on both counts!

I could have written that myself. This is what I'm looking forward to most about giving birth at the moment (please don't judge...). Although I want my steak so rare it's mooing...

Another food pet peeve is sweet tea that isn't sweet. I want brown sugar water! Oh I need to shut up, my tummy is growling as I type this!

As long as posts are not written in capitals then i will happily read, reply, offer a hug etc.

I am in no way carrying on any argument before i just get my point across but I am guilty of saying don't instead of dosen't and i do struggle with my spelling sometimes. There are also people who suffer from dislexia (not sure how you spell that!) Who can't help but spell thing's wrong and get punctuation wrong.

Sorry just wanted to say my point. I am in NO way trying to start an argument here.

well shrimpy DID attempt diverting it earlier... but i was out all day so it didnt get going...

Okay I do like my hot tea unsweetened but I rarely have hot tea.

If its cold, I want it to nearly be syrup! Sooo unhealthy and delicious.

OP you sound like my husband, we are very competitive so when I beat him at something I always say "Haha I won you" and he goes "no you won nothing, you beat me" haha. Only because he is sulking haha.

My pet peeve is when people have to debate everything. somebody in my office has an answer for everything. I had a rash on my arm and he said it is eczema. I simply insisted that my GP said it was my hormones. He went on to say that my GP was wrong and so was I (though I had suffered with severe eczema for many years of my life).
