40+ TTC for the 1st time

Hey everyone. 
Came across this forum earlier today and think its great so thought I would join! I need all the help I can get....
I am 42 years young...OH is 32 and we have just started TTC. Neither of us have children. I have no clue what you are all going on about with all the abbreviations and after being on the pill for more years than I can remember, I have no regular cycle yet, so don't have a clue when I am ovulating.
So, that's me...for now...I shall carry on browsing and shall do a thread soon in the TTC thread....as I need HELP!!!
