Opk question

Ok, so I usually get a few days of positive opks. Well, this month the first one I assumed was positive was what looked to me like the bands were the same color. Then the next day the test band was much darker. And the next (today) is still much darker. I guess what I'm wondering is should I count the first positive as the one where the bands were the same or go with the one that the test band was darker? This would be day 3 if I went by the day when the bands were the same.
