Opk question......

Hello, I have a question about opk's. I think I might have started testing too late.....my husband and I finally agreed to actually ttc this month....of course it's in the middle of my cycle! I am normally between 28-32 day cycle....I started testing the 14th day. My question is can you still get a faint positive even after you have ovulated for the month????

Do you mean faint positive as a faint line, or an almost positive opk? If it's almost positive you're probably about to ovulate. If its a faint line, its normal to always get some sort of a line since we generally always have LH in our system. Even men have it xx

I believe it's ALMOST as dark as the other line....I can really see the line it's just not as dark as the other one.

I can take a opk test right now and get a pic of it? I need all the help I can get this is all soooo new to me. Thanks for any advice.

If its almost as dark then you are probably very close to ovulating so get . Some people don't it as dark as the control line and others do... its finding what is normal for you.

If it's almost as dark, get to BD'ing!! You should ovulate anytime between now and 36 hours! With me, I ovulate that day or the next. Sending loads of baby dust your way xx



ETA: My positive OPKs are never as dark as the control line but they are close. So don't worry if they never get as dark, but as long as they are very close it should be okay. I know I ovulate since I chart my basal body temperature and always have a 14 luteal phase. You'll pick up a LOT of information on this site

LOL shortly after the positive opk I pretty much jumped my husband when he got back from his errands! How long should I ??? I am so nervous!!!!

lmao! I bet he was happy hahaha! I'd BD today and the next couple of days. Once a day is good, more than once can be bad since your DH's sperm needs to recuperate! Sending loads of baby dust your way, hope you catch the egg xx

LOL! He was very happy, but also felt under pressure LOL! Needless to say it was done and we will continue to once a day for the next 5? 6? days. So whats your story? First time ttc as well?

Yes, TTC #1 since late January. I've had two early mc's since then, but I'm feeling good about this month How long have you been TTC?

Well I would say that this month is the first month I have actually really, really tried. I got hpt, and opk pack from earlypregnancy.com. Dec. of 2009 we got preggo's without even trying, but in Jan 2010 our angel went up to heaven due to a tubal pregnancy.Since we have wanted to ttc but have been scared....this month we are just going for it....lol I do not even know if I have a chance this month I think I started my opk's too late....guess we will see!!!

You're not too late at all! once you get a positive OPK you usually don't ovulate for another 24 hours anyways! You definitely have a good chance! If you BD'ed today you have a fab chance! Hope you caught the eggy

I am just trying not to get too crazy with this....lol although I am sure that it will get crazy lol. Are you in the 2ww? I am also sorry for your loss as well. I hope you get your BFP this month, on one of your replies you said you are feeling good about this month! So you u!!!
