OT - Usama Bin Laden is DEAD!

It is the same mentality though. Terrorists genuinely believe that Westerners are evil and that we deserve to die (obviously they are insane and wrong but regardless...) just as people feel that Bin Laden deserved it. To me, NO ONE deserves to die.

I totally agree.

Also, who has the right to decide when and how someone should die? Who's to say that he deserved to die and not to face up to what he had done and suffer the consequences of his actions? I just don't see where it will ever end if we continue 'a life for a life' type mentalitly. It makes both sides as bad as eachother in that case

iHeartbaby- if you did some research and found out just how many innocent lives (mothers, fathers, sons, daughters) have been lost at the hands of the American govt. You would weep! There is no way, NO WAY, they can pretend to be morally superior. Btw I am not anti-America at all, I just cannot stomach hypocrisy, especially when it is of gigantic proportions.

100 % agree

one thing i will add, after a lot of thought about the new information of Bin Laden being unarmed I have this to say...

..he may have been unarmed, but for all we know he could of told the navy seals that he had bombs strapped to him or the women (whoever she is) infront of him, or around the house. not to mention there was other people in the building, followers of Bin Laden who could of opened fire on them had they tried to take him out alive, or had bombs on them.

i highly doubt that the seals just shot him unarmed in surrender.

and even though he was unarmed (which they found out after he was dead) he WASNT surrendering. they have stuck to the story that he was resisting arrest and like i said for all we know he could of been threatening anything....

just some food for though.

For such an achievement for the U.S government, they are sure as hell reluctant to release evidence and facts of what really happened that day!

As days go on, the more fishy and unconvincing this whole affair gets!!!

Whats the big deal about if he was armed or not? Majority of his vitims were not armed.. seems fair to me  Anyways, I thought he was dying of something already? Must have a Libyan doctor.. they are darn good at keeping dying terrorists alive :winkwink:
On the subject of Hell... yes I think there is one and I hope he is being very well taken care of down there ... IYKWIM. While we are at it can we fling a few of those poppy burners down there also??
I am not morally superior to anyone.. I just think it's good he is dead. Can we all leave Afghanistan now? I thought not.
I am on the edge of my seat waiting for Al Jazeera to release some grainy footage of OBL with the latest copy of The Daily Sport or some other equivilent toilet paper trash.
Sadly it won't make much operational difference to the goat-nudgers, but that's not the point of doing stuff like this. Whacking bin Laden fulfils the same purpose as the Israelis rubbing out the Black September toerags. It brings some cheer to your own side and tells the world that they *$%! with you at their peril.
OBL ...Hide and Seek world Champion 2001-2011...well done America for getting the bar steward.
Crikes.. where's me gun??..think I need to sign up again!

Sarah&ady - renal failure? Im not sure but i think something to do with his kidneys

Sarah...Are you infact THE Sarah Millican

I had a little chuckle at your post in the corner of the office!

Ye, Bathbabe is right, rhenal failure!

And yes makes no difference to me that he wasnt armed, as you say, many of his victims wernt armed.

Ha ha! Quite possibly maybe! It is my twisted military humour I'm afraid. Does not leave too much room for being PC and gives tree huggers a target to vent at. Good job I can dodge bullets hey? :winkwink:
On a lighter note.. it was very cool of the Americans to delay the mission till after the Royal wedding and not upstage the event :haha:

i hope hes not in hell, thats where im going, dont want to share with him. although i could vent on him for eternity and according to my dh that would be horrible even for bin laden.

i was told i was going to hell by a teacher when i was 14!! i challenged him over some history he was "teaching" us

:haha: Awesome. I spent my entire secondary schooling correcting history teachers and asking for more concise explanations. I'll see you in Hell my dear... take your bikini.. I bagsy the sun lounger nearest the bar! :haha:

i got a mansion down there, very classy lol. beats living in the gutter as another teacher told me "thats where ur mind is constantly" i cant help it i always seem to take a double meaning to everything

This is the crap I was scared of  Now I'm a hundred times more scared of walking round with my baby :( (https://uk.news.yahoo.com/attack-highly-likely-police-chief-175936783.html)

An attack on the UK is highly likely and could occur without warning at any time following the death of Osama bin Laden, Britain's most senior police officer has warned.

They will attack again, its highly unlikely that there will never be another terrorist attack x

my mum is supposed to be going to london in june to visit her sister and is now thinking of not going. my niece is going to ocean city, usa for the summer and my sister is tearing her hair out.

i agree i dont think there will ever NOT be a terrorist attack on any country from any terrorist group wether it be al qaeda, eta or the ira

critical - an attack is expected imminently
severe - an attack is highly likely
substantial - an attack is a strong possibility
moderate - an attack is possible but not likely
low - an attack is unlikely

The level has been at Severe for quite some time now. Look at it this way.. there is one more level to go before we should maybe don our tin foil hats and sit under the dining table :laugh2:
They have managed to thwart attacks on Old Trafford, Bluewater and The O2over the years... I am putting my faith in our fantastic intelligence forces
There will always be something going on but if we change our lives then they have won x

Tin hats? Not sure the attacks are coming from outer space. It is natural to be scared, we have reason to be.

And although I have faith in our intelligence forces, they can't prevent all attacks, history shows us that. We are living in very scary times at the moment.

im not any more worried than i was a few days/weeks/months ago.
if its going to happen, its going to happen - intelligence will try to stop it, but history shows they arent bionic, they make mistakes too.

millions of people commute around london everyday, millions of people arrive home safely - dont let it affect your life. this wont end for years and you shouldn't live in fear - then they have won.

It's a reference to nuclear...nevermind :dohh:
Anyways I am an optimist so will carry on regardless...my Dad got blown up by the IRA but he still had a sense of humour about it.... must be the military mind.
Peace :flower:
