Our babies are all grown up - December 2009 and January 2010 toddlers

I know what you are saying is right but I just don't think I'm strong enough to stick to it, I think I'm hoping for one of those miracles you hear of when the babies just decide to sleep one night and everynight there on in! (wishful thinking...)

Evie has 6 teeth already! 4 at the top and 2 at the bottom, they look funny in her little mouth :haha:

Daisy's teeth seem to be sprouting all the time at the moment. Since christmas she's had 4 new ones. She has 8 now. Her teething is definitely affecting her sleep more than ever at the moment. I went to bed last night having made the decision to try cc but then I couldn't go through with it. When she started crying I had all these things going round in my head like 'but her little teeth are hurting and she just wants her mummy' or 'maybe we'll try it after this tooth has cut through' and she ended up in our bed as ever. I'm hoping for the same miracle that you are MNorbury!

We are TTC and this is our second cycle but Daisy wakes up so much in the evenings and at night that I can't see us actually getting time to try to conceive!

You are brave TTC :haha: I'm with you though being able to find the time or have the energy to do anything is hard.

Teeth ... what teeth??!! Still none here, how many times have I said oh that must be teething, this must be teething and yet nothing. Anyone else not have any at 13 months?

Re: sleep. We have good and bad phases. Illness, growth spurts and learning new skills seems to affect things most. Holly is at nursery 2 days a week and picks up everything, despite being breastfed :nope: so we've had a lot of disruption. But she did start sleeping 12 hours for 5 nights the week of her birthday, then a week of waking, then a week of sleeping very well again. The last few nights she has been up once, drunk all her bottle then got back to sleep so I can cope with that! Yes, I still give milk in the night, when she's screaming for 15 mins but goes straight back to sleep after a bottle, I'm afraid I do what I have to do so I can get up for work in the morning. I then know there's something else wrong if she doesn't want milk or go back to sleep. I also know now she can do 12 hours so I'm not too worried! Walking has definitely helped her sleeping she's so tired after a day tottering all over the place :winkwink:

Jchihuahua - good luck in actually getting a bit of time and space!! I do want a second, but think we'll leave it until Holly is over 2. My life is only just feeling normalish in the last month or so and I seem to be so busy all the time that I really don't think I could cope with another little one just yet! Plus the terrible morning sickness!!

Hi Hayley :)

Well ladies, Dave took Ethan for his boosters yesterday... he cried for a while longer than the first time apparently and he's been clingy today. His left leg where he had it (about an inch or so across) is all hot and red now which is a bit worrying but he's gone down to bed okay so it doesn't seem to be bothering him!
Said we'd go back for mmr at a later date - he still had to have 1 injection in each leg tho :(
Hope all your LOs are okay x

:( Poor Ethan, hope he feels better tomorrow.

I feel sick at the thought of taking Evie next week, no doubt I'll cry again before the nurse has even touched her, yes I am nuts lol.

What's your views on the latest 'guidelines' on weaning/bf? I just wish they'd make their bloody minds up and stick to it!

I'm considering stopping Evies night feeds as hubby went to bed before me the othernight (which almost never happens), anyhow she woke a few times before I went up and he just lay her back down and did shush/pat and she settled within minutes, there is not a chance she will do this for me, she just cries and tantrums until I feed her so it's made me wonder if she needs it ad if her sleep will improve if I stop.

Aww poor Ethan :(. I hope he's totally 100% again in the morning. I'm taking Daisy next week too, dreading it :(.

Hi Hayley - glad you could join us :flower:

Vix79, i'm with you. I know if Madi wakes up in the middle of the night and I give her a bottle she will be asleep again in about 10 mins and when you have work in the morning you do whatever gets you back into bed the quickest. Walking has definately helped though.

New2bumps - hope ethan is better today :hugs: I cancelled Madi's jabs again cause she has got a really bad cough so didn't want to take her

Hi all

Ethan's leg is still red today but going down, poor thing.

He went down at 7 as usual then woke at half past which is not like him, so he had Calpol (I very very rarely give Calpol) then woke again at 2 and was a bit warm so another dose then slept again, so it must have been achy bless him as nothing wakes him once he's asleep! Thanks all for asking :)

Hi everybody, hope you and your lo's are all ok! Evie had her jabs yesterday and I was so brave and didn't cry lol. Evie was brave too, she only cried for a minute but no real tears so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought we might have been in for a bit of a sleep treat as I heard jabs often make babies sleep but no such luck, our little vampire was still up loads :nope:

I know, I thought these would be far worse as they are more aware, we postponed the mmr though so hope she's ok with that one too! Bless our big girls x

Hi Girls, i'm so glad the 2 evie's did so well at their jabs. I'm still waiting for Madi's appointment to come through.

I finally went and got Madi her first pair of walking shoes today. I'm such a bad mum I should have got them ages ago cause she has been walking since October  They are so cut, very pink and light up when she walks :haha:

Awww bless her :D how is she with her shoes on? We had to keep evie in her shoes so she got used to them before she would even STAND in them lol then there was no stopping her once she got used to them!! xx

she is great in them, put them on and then ran across the shop. She has always been really strong on her feet though. I got ones with a buckle instead of velcro cause she would just keep taking them off and with the buckle she can't get them off

:hi: girls, for some reason this wasnt in my subscribed threads anymore  hope all mums and babys/toddlers are well :)

How many teeth do your LO's have now? Daisy still only has the 2 bottom ones but had 4 bulges on the top gum, is this normal? the bottom 2 didnt bulge xxx

Yeah evie is terrible with velcro, she takes one off while im putting the other on! lol
