Our babies are all grown up - December 2009 and January 2010 toddlers

Daisy has cruisers from Clarks but I only put them on her now and again. She quite likes wearing them. They are cute with buckles rather than velcro.

She has 9 teeth Hayley. 5 of them have come since Christmas. She is getting one after the other at the minute! When her top front teeth cut through her gums were really sore and she had blood blisters so maybe they suffer more with those ones.

Daisy's flu is finally getting better after 7 days of being really poorly. I am so relieved she is eating and drinking again. She lost quite a bit of weight but luckily she's a chunky monkey so it doesn't make too much difference. Her tantrums were worse than ever when she was ill (nappy changes, teeth cleaned, getting in pushchair, getting in the highchair, not being allowed to hold the spoon completely on her own, being told no, everything pretty much!) I hope they ease up a bit now she's feeling a bit better!

:hi: girls, for some reason this wasnt in my subscribed threads anymore  hope all mums and babys/toddlers are well :)

How many teeth do your LO's have now? Daisy still only has the 2 bottom ones but had 4 bulges on the top gum, is this normal? the bottom 2 didnt bulge xxx

Madi still only has 2 teeth. I'm just wondering when she will get some more cause she is really suffering.

Congrats on the pregnancy hayley :hugs:

Oh Hayley how exciting, congratulations :hugs:. Evie has got 6 peggys (2 bottom, 4 top) and I'm sure more are on their way, I wish they'd hurry up!

Aw bless Daisy, I hope she feels much better, it's awful when they can't tell you what's wrong and there's nothing you can do. Evie has been full of a snotty nose over almost 5 weeks now, it disappeared for a few days then came back :( x

Sleeping is hit and miss, I think I'd go as far as to say she has got slightly better, the past couple of nights we've been getting 2 hour stints (apart from a 3 hour wake up in the middle :dohh:) BUT it's better than the 40 mins she was doing.

She is still a fussy little madame on the food front, Ellas kitchen pouches are our fail safe (but she only likes 2 flavours!) She has expensive taste lol.

How's Madi doing? Did you get the nursery sorted? x

Hi ladies!
Ethan has cruisers but I don't put him in them often - I prefer him barefoot or in socks. I put them on him now and again just to get him used to wearing shoes really!
Ethan has had 8 teeth since 10 months where 4 just came one after the other. He is teething his bottom left molar at the mo!

ouch, poor ethan! xx:hugs:

Poor Ethan :hugs:, how do you know which tooth it is coming? I never know by looking only by going off the book says what should come next, it might just be me being dizzy though!

We took Evie for her 12 month development check today, I'm always so sceptical about everything they say and can't help but feel like I could read the same text book and spout it out! One of the questions was does she drink tea and coffee! I always thought tea & coffee was a no no but she said it's fine just not lots a day because of the caffiene so basically decaffienated is fine . I just wouldn't feel right giving it her but don't know why, I'm sure I read somewhere they shouldn't have it for other reasons than caffiene.

She also said she can have a runny/dippy egg, has anybody given their lo one?

They weighed her and she is now 22lb 6oz so only put 1lb 2 oz on in 3 months but is still following the same line.

What does everybody elses lo weigh?

Madi doesn't get a developmental check at 12months i don't think. I last had her weighed at about 10 months and she was 19lbs but not sure what she would be now. She doesn't look like she has put on any weight though but she is really tall.

mnorbury, She starts nursery on the 24th of feb for the thursday and then may for the tuesday. I am going to take her for some phasing in days in the next few weeks. I feel so sorry for you with the sleeping thing, not sleeping really does have an effect on you :hugs: Madi was a really bad sleeper but since I cut out her bottle during the night just before Christmas she has been sleeping through most nights from 6.30 to 6.30 which has had such an impact on my work. With the eating, Madi has her moments, she normally eats well for her breakfast and lunch but hardly eats anything for her dinner :dohh:

Everyone's LO's have loads of teeth, Madi still only has 2 and they are at the bottom. Thats not really alot for a 13 month is it?

Bluebaby, my friends little boy is 16 months and he has only his 2 bottom teeth!
Mnorbury, I know which tooth is coming as Ethan has all his front ones and I know the molars are next so I'm looking out for them, and I can now feel a lump so I know it's that one!
Ethan has a sip of my tea now and again but I wouldn't give it to him as a drink in it's own right. He only ever has milk or water.
Last time I got Ethan weighed was at 11m and he was 22.6 so he's probs about 23.6 now :)

Daisy's molars didn't come next. She got her bottom front two first, followed by her top front two a few months later then the two on either side of her top and bottom ones. Those four have all come since christmas. Now she is getting the two on either side of the bottom ones, her canines. I can see the one on one side cut through already and there is a red lump on the other side. The canines aren't supposed to appear until a bit later so not sure why they are coming through already!

Since Daisy had flu last week she still isn't eating properly. She's been a fab eater always but she had a sore throat and couldn't swallow so ate next to nothing last week. She wouldn't eat any of the meals I'd made her so we gave her Ella's Kitchen pouches as they are smooth and she would eat those along with fruit puree and yoghurts but that was it. Now she is almost better she still won't eat properly and won't swallow anything even slightly lumpy and gags then clamps her mouth tightly shut and won't eat anymore. This is food she's loved for months and eaten happily since about 7 or 8 months old. It is as if she is scared of swallowing it. She still hasn't has her jabs as she's still not well enough. Hopefully next week.

I had such a rubbish day today. My boss made me cry at work :(. I've never cried at work before but I think the sleep deprivation and poorly baby added to my emotional state!

Oh hun:hugs: Your not alone, just before Christmas my boss made me cry and I have never cried before in work. Its so overwhelming working and having a baby :hugs:

BIG NEWS: Madi got her 3rd tooth this morning :wohoo:

BB - Glad you got nursery sorted and YAY teeth :happydance:

New2B - I too let Evie have a sip of my brew but don't make her a cup lol

JC - :hugs: our little monkeys always give us something new to worry about, I'm sure if you keep tempting her she will eventually forget (hopefully) and start eating properly again. Evie too will only eat the Ellas kitchen pouches most of the time, they are our fail safe but she is fussy and only likes the lamb or beef one so I'm scared of her getting bored, which is a problem with most things with Evie!

So sorry your boss made you cry :(, hope you had a better day today :flow:

Hi everyone,

How are you all?

Madi is certainly growing up fast. Her favourite word at the moment is 'no' every time I say anything to her she just replies with 'no'. She sometimes even does it with her hand on her hip :haha:

It amazes me how much they pick up on. Madi will pick up my brush and brush her hair. she gets her lotion and rubs it on her and my hands, she tries to put my makeup on and wears my bangles. They are just so funny and so much fun at this age :happydance:

Hi ladies,

Aww bless her, Madi sounds so cute and funny! I can't wait for Daisy to do stuff like that. She still seems very babyish to me compared to what some other toddlers her age can do. She doesn't say anything with meaning, just babbles away and never mimics anything we do either! It'll come in time I'm sure!

We've just booked her a trial session at Rhythm Time for Monday. She loves her gymboree group so much that I thought I'd book her into a different class too. Her daddy will have to take her as I'll be at work and he is not enthusiastic at the thought of having to sing and dance :haha:.

Here is a photo of her with one of our guinea pigs. She is so gentle with them.

She is such a cutie. They are so cute with animals aren't they. We have 2 rabbits and Madi just loves them. My hubby took Madi to baby sign once and never went back. He said he had no clue what to do and found the whole thing embarrassing :haha: He is looking after Madi on Friday while I'm at work and taking her to soft play with one of his friends and his LO. Our men are quite the mummies aren't they :haha:
Do you ever get sad when you leave them in the morning to go to work? On Tuesday when OH had Madi for the day I left for work and was crying in the car as I just wanted to stay at home with them.

Yes, I hate leaving Daisy, even though she has a lovely time with her dad. Sometimes I secretly feel cross with my hubby that he gets to be the one to stay at home with her and work part time while I have to work full time just because I worked really hard to get a good career and he didn't! I feel mean saying that and I never would say it to him but I do sometimes feel a bit bitter! Like tonight when I was getting Daisy ready for bed while hubby was at work and she kept saying 'dada dada' and I thought that she must want her dad as she's with him all day and only sees me for about 2 and a half hours a day :(. It is tough.
