Our rabbit died. What do i tell my Leigha?

My rabbit didnt have fleas..he was protected against them?? So could it be that it wasnt myxi?

If he had gunky eyes then he proberely had a infection like a ulcer at the back of the eye cause i know my sisters kids rabbit bless him he has also died ......
but he had this and his was a ulcer he had a operation but he was going blind with catarax cause he was old , How old was your rabbit ??

Why do people get funny when you mention fleas!
What i should have said was Fleas and other flying insects like mosquitos will carry the disease.

Was the rabbit vaccinated? as there is another disease called VHD that kills rabbits often with out any external signs.
It does sound like myxi if the eyes were swollen and puffy with a discharge.
There are so many things it could be but not worth going over it all now. Rabbit is at peace now and that is the main thing.

I did go funny when you mentioned fleas...like i said i didnt think he could have fleas coz of being protected about it.
