overweight and ttc

Id sent hubby off to buy me some night nurse as I have a terrible cold.. but while he was gone i had the sudden thought to check i wasn't pregnant before taking it. I only had a First response one step not the super early one and at 10dpo i was`nt hopeful but a faint line showed up and this morning at 12dpo i confirmed it on a clear-blue digi... it said 1-2 weeks

When hubby got home I told him i did`nt need the night nurse and he got all grumpy and even though I was going to wait till next weekend and fathers day.. I just could`nt keep it in... I shouted because I`m pregnant ... and then cried.. haha wish i could have been more calm and told him in an awesome way lol

Im absolutely petrified about making it to twelve weeks now :s but i guess that`s natural!!

As for me : cycle 3 of Clomid, af will arrive tommorow or Tuesday. I'm now on cycles of 28/29 days which is a plus. I have a hsg scheduled for cycle 6 to just check I don't have blocked tubes. Moving soon so that's been stressful!

The pregnancy it's self is been fine but it's me that I've had trouble with, at my 20 week scan they picked up that there was something wrong bowel related and first thought a twisted bowel but then with the pain I described and through blood tests they guessed at appendicitis. I couldn't have a CT scan to confirm because this isn't safe for baby so they said they would have to go right in an operate. It was appendicitis and the appendix was ready to burst and had gone into my bowel so they had to remove a small piece of bowel too. They sent it off for biopsy and what they found is benign but they said I will have to go to see the colorectal specialists after I've had baby for a CT scan and they said they might have to operate again and remove more bowel
Baby has caused me no problems so far so this pregnancy should of been a smooth ride but my body had other plans obviously

Any way I hope you are well and I have my fingers and toes crossed that you get your bfp very soon

jessicasmum: Wow, im so sorry you're having so much trouble! I didn't know they could operate whilst pregnant, was it worrying for you? I'm glad what they did find was benign and the specialist might be just to give you a more in depth check up to see that its heal properly inside etc.

Thank you I know I didn't either especially operating on the stomach area. Yeah I was really worried, I even at one point said while the surgeon was there that I couldn't go through with it, I had 2 consent forms I needed to sign and I signed 1 then started crying saying I couldn't because it in a way felt I was signing my baby away because of the risk of miscarriage etc..., well in the end it was the right thing to do because any longer and both mine and baby's life would of been in real danger.
Hopefully yeah that I will just get a CT scan and it will show things are ok because I really don't want to have yet another operation especially with baby going to be so young and being apart from her.

I am overweight. I'm 5'5" and 270 pounds. I carry it well fortunately and I'm active. I am 7 weeks pregnant right now. My husband and I tried for 2 years before I actually conceived. I recently lost about 30 pounds and my OB said that could have helped the conceiving process but it could have had nothing to do with it.

I guess I don' have any straight answers for you except that i am still a big girl and I was able to get pregnant. Never lose hope, it will happen if it's meant to be.

6 is the max so two more rounds then a hsg and then I don't know. You have to be a certain age for iui or ivf so I will have to wait x

Hopefully it wont come to ivf. There shouldn't be a age restriction if a couple are having difficulties conceiving then age shouldn't come into it. What's the youngest age you can be for it?

Yeah I am, so a year and a bit to go! X

And I bet there would be a wait also on NHS once you're at the age of 23 before treatment started because people of an older age are seen more of a priority, I heard this when my sister was going through the process because she is in her 30's the waiting list wasn't as long.
