OVULATION confused negatives dont know if to try testing for a whole month instead

well i did 9 ovulation test sticks last month around the time of my ovulation and every single one was negative the last one i did i pee,d over the test mark acidental rather than dipping it in a cup and thought i got a postiive but OH Was away at that time, this month i only did so many becuse of last months disaster with ovulating and they were negative i was thinking to just go out to prepare for next month and buy 6 packs of ovulating sticks and test 1 a day after my AF and right until my next AF it might give me a clue to whats happening with my body i think dont know if some of you ladies have had simular experiences with ovulation sticks being all negative around the time ov ovulation but my OH said it could be a good plan mmmmmm?????

I never had much luck with OPKs. Of course the first batch I had I used first thing in the morning which you're not supposed to do. I had better luck when I bought a bunch of internet cheapies and used them twice a day, once around lunch time and once when I got home from work around O time. Now I use a CBFM which is easier for me and I can use first morning urine and I don't have to figure out if one lines is darker than another.

Maybe start testing a few days earlier than you were? I don't know if you need to start right after AF, what time of day were you testing? You also have to make sure you haven't peed a couple of hours before testing.

i started testing mid evenings last month the very last ovulation strip i tested and acidently pee,d over the max line was got a fake positive and that was late at night but i asumed it was just another negative cuz i peed right over the stick acidental but like the rest of the very faint tiny lines that hardly appeared that was the only positive i got when i dint do the test right i brought some asda ovulation test sticks around the time i was supose to ovulate this month and so far 2 was negative i tested those around 1 evening and posibly next morning they were negative i tested my last ovulation test strip frm last months suply b4 i tested the asda ones and that was negative about it iv heard i think tho ya not suposed to test in the morning iv been holding my pee sumtimes for ages b4 the tests so dont know whats going off really i feel like iv past my ovulating stage now even tho iv had no sign of CM hardly but dint take any chances around the days i was expecting to ovulate and having just to make sure i dont miss it if i was possibley ovulating even tho the tests were negative now i havent had for a few days iv noticed my CM is thick and now i guess its just a matter of TWW im due for my AF on 24th of sept i was suposed to ov ovulated around 10th sept .. i did a few ovulation test this month around that time and they were all negatives

When did you use OPKs and how long are your cycles? It's possible you started testing too late, or you didn't use them long enough xx

i have regular cycles last month when i tested i got all negatives possibly i might not of tested enough this month but iv been doing my BBT as well and thats very odd readings at the moment its been the same 3 days running 36.2c every morning around 12thsept to the 14th, and my suspected ovulation day which was the 10th sept this month was 36.7c and the day before ovulation on the 9th sept it was 35.7c but i wasnt getting any signs of EWCM around that time my Cm round that time was farely waterish not clear but cloudy then it went into feeling like hand lotion arround those times when i was just surposed to ov ovulated So i knew something about my CM wasnt right and i have no infections at all i was haven alot of tho around that time becuse i dint want to think i was gonna miss any chance of ovulation if i couldnt pick up my ovulation and now we are on 15th sept my muscus has returned back to thick and just sticky last time i had was 12th sept and we was having from 6th,7th,8th,9,10,11,12th hoping we might not of missed it i tested only 3 ovulation tests this month i tested 9th sept and on the 12th and 13th all negatives but last month i tested 9 times around my ovulation time around 8th,9th.10.11 and 12th aug to the 13th and they were all negative

I would most definitely recommend internet cheapies (Wondfo!) at least during those first few cycles when you're not even remotely sure when O is supposed to happen. Considering the price (and quantities those tests come in), you can easily pee several times a day, for several days in a row.

well iv been reading something intresting to be honest and looking from my basic body temp around the time of my ovulation BBT chart my readings were 36.7c and have dropped to 36.2 and stayed the same for 3days i just come across this web site to read more about BBT and temp drops out of intrest so i will copy and paste this becuse i have been focusing on BBT this month than i have ovulation tests, after last months ovulating failure with 9 negatives so i found this and thought omg maybe i might be experiencing something like this i dont know its worth to keep an eye on i think hear goes...

BBT drops AFTER Ovulation
Most women experience a drop of temperature just few days after Ovulation. This is mainly due to the fact that the progesterone level are not getting stronger yet against the dominance of the Eustrogen. Read the section about Anovulatory under the topic Ovulation for a detailed explanation of the possibilities that could occur.

If I went by an online calculator giving me a predicted ovulation week based on my normal 26 day cycle, I would not be ovulating in that week - in fact this wouldnt be my 3rd pregnancy as I would be doing it at all the wrong times.

I have a 26 day cycle, and online calculators would say my fertile time is around day 8-14 - If I tested around then my opks would be all negative. I do not ovulate til day 16/17!!!

Buy cheap opks as above and test longer. Start testing 16 days before you expect your next period and keep testing til 9 days before your period.......eg if you have a 28 day cycle I would test from day 12-18 at least!

thanks hun ,, judging from last months no ovulation around the time i was suposed to ovulate i descided to just go by BBT instead this month and do the odd ovulation test thats why iv not tested much this month,, but i notice a fall of BBT when i asumed i could of ovulated which is odd going frm my free hamster calculator i thought maybe it could be the thermometer so i went out and my OH toke me to boots to buy a new ovulation BBT thermometer with a fertility diary so im gonna still stick with my hamster ovulation calculator and make a note of it today and just carry on as normal and keep an eye on it in the mean time my CM is thick and pastey today so i asume im not ovulating as a negative ovulation test showed that today just to check and make sure ,,

Oh I thought you meant you charted BBT. You have to be careful with those things as they are set up for women that ovulate the same exact CD each cycle with a 14 day LP (average seems to be 12-13 day LP) when it can be anywhere from <10-17 xx

with this hamster ovulation chart im using you can alter what you want to on it or want to show but i thought about trying other ovulation calendars on the interent and they match up the exact same days to the one im using so i dont think it makes much of a diffrence

i think thats what i was planning on doing hun doing both but somehow i cant sign up to fertility friend iv had to leave em a message atmo iv been luking at the fertility diary on my BBT and looking around the time i was surposed to ovulate i had a right dip instead rather than it increasing which im kinda baffled about im due on the 24th for my AF judging from my last AF i have a normal regualr cycle but atmo im all ov a sudden not feeling well i feel very shakey im actually feeling not nausea but got a headache and feeling alittle fragile standing up iv got sort of weakness feelings down below and also iv eaten alot of food so its defo not lack of eating at all iv been taking pregnacare i drank a whole pint of smoothy earlier which i did home made with fresh melon strawberries and banana all goodness and im shaking like a leaf atmo i had sum bloating earlier but i be ok iv had this symptom for 3yrs tho when i got rid of my problem which made me infertile in the end but not suffering a head ache with it ,, last 2 months ago it happen when i was in town and it was just after my AF its not iron deficiency i dont think im keeping an eye on my new BBT because im alittle concerned about the way its kinda not matchen up to like it says about progestrone levels shud rise after ovualtion and i was also looking up posibilitys and information to what can happen to a BBT that drops i came across ovulation drops called anovulatory and this is related to PCOS i thought omg,,, but i need to give my body a change yet to see if i notice any improvement because im an early ttc woman whos looking for clues and answers thats one reason im so curious to find out other ladies experiences and would love to share an ovulation chart of my BBT with you ladies to get a second opinion but im new to this BnB im on angus castus to actually help my gyno problem to ttc because no gyno or any doctor would help me 3yrs of suffering and i had no idea at all whats going off with my body and in so desbrate search to my problems and maybe answers along the way of my journal symptoms and poss other comments frm other ladies which im finding very curious and intresting to know how you other ladies manage your BBT and i wonder whats its trying to tell you also but mine seems kinda strange but im not jumpping to conclusions about anovulatory just yet or PCOS im just gonna try and blank that one out and keep trying and carry on as normal

its a pretty long story to my infertility problems to be honest iv even been to see 3 gynoecologists doctors have told me diffrent and some have said it was poor diet and stress which i dont believe because 3yrs ago thats when it all started and i was devastated with the first doctor who actually was brilliant and understanding sinse iv moved countys the other doctors iv seen havent been very sympathetic towards me and for 3yrs iv been on off ttc haven breaks in between because of it simply not happening to me when i know somethings wrong with my body nobody would help me and my OH was seeing me in so much distress last year i was walking down the street i wasnt even due for my AF and i had the most awful stabbing pain i cud hardly walk the more i walked the worser it got the only thing that will get rid is to lay down i went in a shop and yelped in pain AAAHHHHHHHRRHHHHH!!! and holded onto something and the shop keeper looked gone outr at me and said are you ok?? but the weakness feelings in my uterus are kinda apearing in my mid cycles or after my AF and it kinda shakes my whole body up sometimes and affects me to function without feeling ill from it.. iv been on medication to stop the pain for when im haven an attack or something like that but its not good when it happens i hoesntly dont know if anyone as ever experienced those symptoms out there but i was told by one gyno 2yr ago i had dysmennorea im really hoping my BBT may also give me an indication to whats also going off as well as suposed to be ovulating also
