I had a MC almost two years ago. Hubby and I have been TTC for three months now, but no luck. I've used ovulation tests (they say I'm ovulating, but not pregnant, so I'm not sure how well these work!), and now I'm throwing caution to the wind by no longer counting the days.

I don't know what to do anymore. Do these tests work? Has anyone just left it all to chance? We did that the first time, and it worked, but it's not working so well this time around. When AF arrives, it just shatters me. :(

I keep hearing "...when you least expect it..." Your thoughts? Should I buy more tests or just have fun with it? Sigh.

A OPK doesnt tell you if you are ovulating. It tells you when your body is having a LH surge which ultimately causes ovulation. You can still surge without ovulating. I know this as it has happened to me several times the past four months.

If you dont think anything is wrong with you and you are having normal cycles, just have fun. I ended up going to the DR but I obviously was not ovulating as my period never showed and my progesterone was always .4 or .5

Good luck honey. Sorry to hear about the MC. :hugs:

We used one-step ovulation strips - bought online, and I found them helpful as we were not prepared to be bd every day or every second day for the whole month!!!

I found that when I got the dark opk, I would actually ovulate 2 days after that.

If you are bd every second day then it is fine to just throw caution to the wind...

However if you are just going to focus on the fertile week then I think OPKS are very helpful.

How often were you bd'ing? Was it focused around the fertile week or when you got the +opk??

Ovulation calendars have always got it wrong for me......26 day cycle - they say fertile week is from day 10 to 15....I would ovulate day 16/17 so do not trust ovulation calendars!!:flower:
