Ovulation?

I have a feeling I am ovulating, had sex last night to be safe.
I was showing all the signs of ovulation and the doctor did say your ovulation can be different coming off the pill (some ovulate straight away, some go straight back to normal etc)
My OV sticks come tonight so can't wait to see if i was right or not

By ov sticks do you mean ovulation predictor kit? If so,OPKs detect the lh surge that typically happens 12-36 hours before you ovulate. If you already ovulated then the OPK wont pick it up this cycle. Looks like you covered your bases by having sex anyway!
