P45 from the Job Centre?!

I found out last month that id been on yhe wrong tax code and therefor paying too much tax. I contacted hmrc and they've sorted my tax code out but I can't get the overpaid tax back untill I hand in a p45 from my last job, now because I was on JSA for 3 months before I got my current job, apparently I nees a p45 from the job centre?! :s I contact the job centre last month and was told id have one sent out, come yesterday and still no p45! I've just rang the jobcentre again and was told thy don't do p45s from there :s the lady was adament they don't send them and hmrc is adament they do. What do I do?! Lol x

Go down to the office and speak to them. I was on JSA when I was made redundant for a couple of months and received a P45.

I also know other people who have received them.
