PAL Winter 2010/2011 Mummies Group

hey h - great to see you here and impressive first post! It's a bit of a rollercoaster isn't it?!

This might be the blind leading the blind but have you tried swaddling Ollie? He might find that comforting in the crib (works for Florence). Sorry to hear about the pain you're in, are you able to take painkillers? Had to laugh at the code brown. We're still yet to have that (although all my friends with boys experienced it early) - we are on our 4th babygrow today though - sick - wee - sick, in that order!

I don't like the sound of these stitches ladies - and that's from a women who ended up with a section!

Sorry to hear about the constipation problem Nic - trial and error says you'll get there in the end :hugs:.

Going to attempt an early night tonight as I stupidly stay up until Florence eventually settles around midnight - does watching Silent Witness in bed count?!

Aww nic hope it all settles down soon and he stops being so hungry.

HB sounds like you are having a rough time hope ollie starts to sleep upstairs soon hun just keep trying, sorry about the blood clot is all ok? and your stitches didnt actually come back apart did they?

I am with everyone else i get phamtom kicks like everyday still and im almost 4months pp.

I went to docs today as still been getting pain downstiars and in top of legs near lady's area, and not been able to DTD at its way to painful. Doc thinks my stitches might be too tight or something so ive got to go to hospital in a few weeks to cheak that they are all ok, just hope all is ok as dont fancy having to have another op to sort it out, it was bad enough having one staight after i had chloe.

Hope everyone else and their bubs are ok x

No - it just felt like they were - it was just stretching the whole area to come out ( yuk!! )

Hope your stitches are ok - after all this it's the last thing you need!

Yep - we started off swaddling but he is a free spirit apparently and fond of his freedom. Am going to look for the mesh crib bumpers to see if that helps him feel less exposed - they are meant to be safe.

Hope you get your early night - am going to attempt to nap now as Ollie is asleep - will try and stay in line with him...

I didnt know you ended up having a c-sec triple may i ask why?

No - it just felt like they were - it was just stretching the whole area to come out ( yuk!! )

Glad they didnt split hope its getting better now, and yes after all this time i thought i would be ok.
I felt really lucky to be honest for such a big baby at 9lbs 12 i had an amazing quick labour lovely water birth just gas and air, but everything after to do with recovery seems to have gone wrong
It makes me worry as my mum had to have a historectomy (sp) after having me and its just really worries me as dont want anything to stop me having more children

:hugs: Phillipa - are the docs keeping an eye on you? What was your op that caused all this?

hx

I had a high vaginal wall tear when i gave birth to chloe so after i had breastfed her i got taken straight to theater and given a spinal and had internal stitches. Well since then ive still been having pain down there espeically when i am stood up for too long and now me and Dh still cant DTD as its too painful so doc said maybe somethign with the stitches but she cant tell for sure. Its annoyign when i had such a good birth with a good weight baby

8 dirty nappies h?! Wowee! Florence has 1 or 2 a day tops, sometimes none! Hope you're managing to get some sleep.

Florence was weighed yesterday - 10lbs 2oz! Spot-on the 75th centile she is following. I guess 13oz in 2 weeks means we're doing ok with the breastfeeding! She is still being a little pickle before 2am but then last night slept for 6 hours in her moses basket - just need to bring it forward a bit!

Philippa - I ended up with an emergency c-section when Florence flipped back-to-back and "stargazing" (looking up instead of down the birth canal) and wouldn't descend after 2 hours pushing trying to get the widest part of her head out.

Sorry to heat you ended up having a c-sec least everything worked out ok the little monkey.
Glad to see florance is at such a good weigth and lying on the 75th centile. Your milk is obviously doing wonders for her. Glad she is getting a bit better in her moses basket.

H wow 8 dirty nappies is alot. Chloe can go a day or two without a dirty nappy then a really explosive one, loads of wet ones though

Wow 8 is very impressive :haha: Archie goes every other day without fail!
Philippa I hope you get sorted soon, sounds very painful :hugs:
Good weight Florence! Glad she's sleeping well for you Lou.
Had Archie weighed today...14lb 8oz

Nice work Olly, D went every feed without fail at that age!!

That day he was feeding constantly ( well it felt like that!! ) MW said probably a growth spurt......

Phillipa - really feel for you - that sounds painful - my labial tears were bad enough!!!

As for sleep - we're just trying to take it as it comes - had a couple of ok nights but who knows what Ollie's plans are for tonight!!

hx

I'm tentatively hoping we're turning a corner. D has gone to bed at 7:45 and woken up at 1:30 for two nights running now. He's still unsettled with farts from 3am onwards but my goodness, he can SLEEP!! At NIGHT!

Glad things are getting a bit better tulip :D

Archie sounds like a wonderful weight Kimmy :D

Yes it is painful i also noticed today if i m sat on toilet (sorry if tmi) with my feet on the floor i cant lift one foot on its own more than a few inchs without getting pain down there also. So surely something isnt right

Def keep a diary / list of issues you're having and take it to the dr - surely they need to sort it!

Well done Dillon! the farts made me laugh :haha:

AFM - Ollie was weighed today - he's 9 lb 9 1/2 oz!!! so has put 2 1/2 oz on his birth weight!!

hx
