PCOS Buddies (10 BFP)

Krissie thank you. How are you doing?

Golden I've had 2 losses on clomid both at 5 weeks and I've had 2 natural losses which were a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and a very early chemical when I started bleeding 2 days after my first positive test. It's gets me so mad because it's like they honestly don't even care x

ahhh im sorry to bring back ur memories, im just so nervous about mc. I heard clomid can thin the uterus lining and up the mc chances. I already have a great mc chance due to pcos, dont need the percentage goin up on me.

I feel the same, doctors really dont care....I regret dropping out of med school  and regret not marrying a doctor! Im gonna make sure my kids become doctors and take care of my sicknesses when i get old.

Taz- it is so ridiculous they won't give you a blood test! :hugs:

I'm doing alright. I have my appt on Thursday. I don't even know what to say to him or if he will even do anything. I've only had two losses so I guess that's making me even more nervous.

Krissie it's normal to feel that way. If recommended discussing maybe taking baby aspirin next time you get a bfp. Well I take it from 7dpo but I was taking it the cycle I had Winter and this cycle. I didn't take it with my other losses. Hopefully he'll at least explore some options with you x

Golden no don't apologise, it's okay. I don't mind talking about it, sometimes it's nice to be able to talk about where it doesn't make people feel uncomfortable.

It seems like everything is progressing lovely with your pregnancy hun, and hopefully it will continue that way. Only 6 more weeks and you'll be in 2nd tri.

Lol at marrying a doctor and having the kids as doctors too, good thinking x

Well im trying to trick my fam doctor into booking me an early scan.

I called the gyno that i was referred to and she said she wont see me until i get my first ultrasound booked. So i called my fam doctor and told her nurse that gyno wont see me until the ultrasound and how gyno thinks i should have early ultrasound since i got pcos and i conceived on clomid. Nurse said she will talk to the doc and call me back. FX it works!!

Golden yeah you should. In the UK we wouldn't normally have a scan until 12 weeks but I get one because of clomid as it's classed as a higher risk pregnancy and plus there's a higher chance of multiples x

I was taking baby asprin with ds but neither of my chemicals. I intended to to take it my next cycle.

But ur doctor doesnt know that u took clomid right? how come u get an early scan but not a blood test?

and what does baby aspirin do?

He didn't but he does now lol. Not a lot he can say really as he prescribed me 3 cycles worth but I decided to stop after the second cycle as I'd had a mc and wasn't ready to fully try again yet. So I just took it when I was ready even though he wanted me to lose some more weight first which I'd been trying bit wasn't happening.

Getting betas isn't really done over here at all unless you've had ivf. They don't do as it doesn't change the outcome so isn't really cost efficient on the NHS I guess as it's free healthcare. Normally you just call your gp when you get bfp and they don't even check, just take your word for it and book you in with a midwife.

Baby aspirin is sometimes prescribed to women who have had recurring miscarriages to help stop them x

i took baby aspirin before but hurts my ulcer so i stopped. Is it pcos related? if u have pcos u should be taking aspirin?

I took baby Asprin with DD as I had a loss before. I stopped at 35/36/37 weeksish I believe.

Well i guess i will try it if i lose this one, i dont wanna hurt my ulcer right now

I used to have a high clotting factor in my blood. I didn't when I was 16 ish so whether it was just gone for that one blood draw or came back or left and never came back I don't know, but figured it couldn't hurt.

so basically its good if u have blood cloth issues? last year i had bruises on my leg so i went under so many testing, and they did check for blood cloth and it was all normal. Then we found out i was allergic to selftanners!

yeah baby asprin is for if you have clotting issues. It (the high clotting factor) put me at risk for a lot of stuff. I don't know if I have it now, but I did when I was younger and it went away when I was 16ish. I haven't been retested. But during my GD test when I was pregnant the person drawing my blood did comment that it clotted fast and I was on the baby asprin then so it makes me nervous to think what would it have been like if I hadn't been taking it.

That's good your blood didn't test positive for clotting issues. Means you probably don't need baby asprin. A lot of pcos ladies have clotting issues where the blood clots too much which can be harmful in pregnancy. There are so many vessels going from the uterus to the placenta and the placenta to the baby that if you have clotting issues it's a higher risk for a clot somewhere in there.

Yeah it sucks. Can't wait until I'm done having kids so I can not care about regulating things anymore haha

How many kids do you want to have? DH wants 4 so i got million more years left to worry about pcos

Jumping back into the convo!

My bloods were all normal so hoping I don't have clotting issues. If your blood tests were fine I would see how it goes. Baby aspirin should really only be taken if recommended by dr.

My OH seems to want 3 from our discussions! I always wanted that many too but now I have PCOS it seems less appealing due to the stress of it
