Yeah the D40 was a great camera to start out with i still have it home it looks so tiny in comparison to the new one hehe

they advise not to add borders coz when they send things to print when a purchase is made, they crop it a little, and some borders can be messed up by the crop.

If you have images you don't want to put up for sale, you just check the "not for sale" box in the upload process... otherwise, people can buy your images in a selection of formats. I've even made some sales myself so it IS possible!

Hi Laurie! So glad you joined! Nice to see another Nikonite I am a diehard Nikon user, so feel free to PM me if you like.

I would say the D40 is an excellent camera to start with - it's now been replaced with a D60.... it should serve you really well for a good long while to come - you'll find that it will be the quality of the lenses you eventually get that will normally make a bigger difference than the camera body, once you buy into a manufacturer's system (Nikon, Canon, Olympus etc.)
