I wish iI could help I spent ages googling this as we bought the same cabbie in the end I bought this:

https://www.disneystore.co.uk/disney-pixar-planes-deluxe-figurine-playset/mp/75842/1000259/

It's at my mums though so I haven't seen it, I have a hard time imaging things fitting in the cabbie as it doesn't seem big enough but it must be, I would aim for the die casts that are around 3cm? In the end we bought him the massive cabbie in the disney shop as we felt that would be better for him to put die casts in and the amazon one better for pretend flying etc.

Oh excellent thanks, I'm near a Disney shop tomorrow so will call in and see if they have this in, reduced too! Sorted xx

It's the little die cast metal ones it takes.

Do not buy that set of plastic toys. They are tiny and cheap shit at a dear Price. We aren't long back from Disney World at the start of the holiday DS wanted that set he had 2 of them broken by the time we came home. Note I paid $22 for it so about half the amazon price and I still considered them cheap and nasty.

This looks looks great but would take me way over budget!

There are no good ones... all overpriced plastic crap

edit: wrong thread! sorry x

Thanks ladies! I'm debating refusing the package when it arrives and sacking off the cabbie. I assume when amazon receive it back they just issue a refund? I tried to cancel as it was preparing for dispatch and they told me it was too late to cancel but I could refuse it  I'll buy him the fire blastin dusty instead I think xx

I returned an item recently and they just took off the cost to return. I think it was £3-4. I am not sure how it works if you refuse the package

I am fairly sure their is only one plastic cabbie about that takes 3 smokejumpers. Some shops seem to have it in a special deal with some of the other smaller characters.

Ds's cabbie which is hiding in a cupboard was brought back from Florida I wonder why did I bother when I see the amazon price.

Before we came home I returned the box of 10 plastic characters (since Blade had lost his rotorblades and dusty had broken his propeller) and bought him a couple of the die-casts instead I've since picked up some of the die-casts at home.

While that set of die-casts at £60 seems extortionate it probably is a reasonable price when you consider that Windlifter and Blade are about £14 each, and the smoke jumpers £6

We've got the small cabbie from amazon (before it got reduced argh!!) but we also got this one (which will no doubt reduce before Christmas...!) it's HUGE

If he gets some Christmas money he will probably pick the die cast set although tbh we have a lot of die casts already so might not be worth the money for us, his choice though!

Marinewag I stand corrected I've not seen that cabbie that holds the other planes it must be huge. All over Disney and the few shops out with we looked in we only saw the other one that takes 3 smokejumpers.

If your LO already has some of the die-casts why not just lookout for the other ones and complete his set that way?
I know my son can be rough with his toys esp acting out the crashes the 2 aircraft have in the film but I didn't expect the plastic set to be great but I didn't think he would have the first one broken in less than a week. The first to break was Blade and the rotorblades came right off it in fact the body of helicopter looked like it was about to split in 2 down the seam. And Dusty had broken part of his propeller half way though our second week.
