Plaster allergy?

Hi

I took the plasters off from LO's jabs yesterday when changing his nappy and next time I changed his nappy (a couple of hours later) I saw all three places where the plasters were are red, sore, blotchy and even raised and swollen looking :( do you think this is a plaster allergy? I'm waiting for a call back from the HV but just wondered if anyone else has this?


I hope I'm not to blame for leaving them on overnight :( he was a sleepy sadsack yesterday so I didn't take them off then, I left them alone until he was a bit chirpier and snuck them off this morning x
 
I just found a similar post to this and pretty much everyone said it was the mum's fault for not taking them off sooner :( crap :(
 
Please don't beat yourself up about it my lo legs where she had her jabs were red and raised the nurse said to expect a bit of swelling and redness xxx

I found this :cry: last time I didn't take the plasters off and he had the redness etc you described. This time I took them off at his next nappy change and no reaction :/
 
Thanks :) he's totally not bothered - not that I have any idea if you'd expect to be with an allergy haha, in fact he's done a lot of laughing today, more than usual...I'd psyched myself up for grumpiness because his jabs were yesterday :)
 
i took my lo plasters off a few hours later and they wer red with rashes...so next jabs i said and they done without the plasters.maybe ur lo has sensitive skin dont beat urself up
 
I have a plaster allergy myself and that's what happens when I use them (the hypoallergenic ones are ok).
