We are due to start ICSI this month and I would like to know that we're doing everything possible to help our chances so I want to make sure we're eating the right things. I'm sure a lot of people on here could benefit if we all share our ideas for easy meals we can all cook to boost our fertility.

My contribution is my paella recipe:
For 2 people: Fry a chopped onion in a little olive oil in a deep frying pan for a few minutes, then add about 5 chestnut mushrooms (sliced), a green and a red pepper. Fry for 5 minutes.
Add 8oz of brown rice and fry for a few minutes before adding 1.5 pints of vegetable stock.
Add a good pinch of saffron threads and half a teaspoon of smoked paprika.
Leave the pan to simmer. Once most of the stock has been absorbed, add cooked chicken, frozen peas and any seafood you want.
When all the stock has been absorbed, serve with chopped tomato on top.

Let me know if you try it and please share your own recipes.

good idea!

im veggie so im eating more than 5 portions of fruit and veg, wholegrains, quinoa and LOTS AND LOTS OF protein and water.

Our protien intake normally should be 45g per day, we need to up it top 50-60g , this is vital during stimms as it encourages egg growth

Alos need to drink at least 2-3 litres of water a day...

Brazil nuts are great for protein and ill be eatin 506 a day

Milk is a contraversial one, as you should keep diary to a minimum bit its great for protein so im not sure if ill be doing this

Ill try your recipe!

I think its a great idea.

Me and DH are not good about eating fruits so for that, I make a fruit salad.

Cut up all the fruits that I want to add which can be varied but apple, pear and banana are must. To give it a beautiful colour and flavour I love to add some pomegranate. Strawberries, blue berries and kiwi also are also good. To make it juicy I squeeze an orange or two on top. I add a little bit of salt (Himalayan Crystal Salt as recommended in the "Fertility Diet" book) and a little bit of Xylitol (a healthy alternative to sugar).

I then sprinkle some bee pollen on top to make it healthier.
