Plz help me. What is this. pictures. Update: back from the doctors

Doctor! GO!

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but why was your first instinct to post pictures on a forum site, especially with weeping pus under her arm?

I'm sorry but that is seriously harsh! It's a Sunday night, do you know any doctor that is open?! It's obvious the rash isn't anything serious like meningitis but the poor girl obviously wanted some opinions before wasting doctors time!

OP - it does look like excema, the armpit does look very sore, could possibly due to the heat and they have a few extra folds when they're little and it's got sore and infected, a bit like nappy rash. Definitely go to the doctor, I'm sure she'll be fine and they'll give you some cream for her armpit and some stuff to bath her in for her rash. :hugs:

Tahnk you. do you think i should take her tonight to the hospital or will it be ok to wait till tomorrow morning

Is she in pain with it chick? If she's finding it uncomfortable then yes I would take her now so it's sorted but if not morning will be fine. xx

Because im a first time mom and i trust the ladies here. and that was kinda mean.

yes that was mean!! she is asking for our help. her daughter is going to the docs tomorrow so she wanted to see what we thought.
Im getting sick and tired of people jumping on others on here when they are simply asking for advice.

if you have nothing nice or helpful to say then dont say it!
its not something that needs A&E so why not post on here?!!!!!

Original poster, please ignore the rude and unsympathetic remarks and dont reply to any more otherwise your post will be hijacked by it all!

OP said it had been ongoing for 3 weeks. If my baby has a weeping boil under her arms for three weeks, I would be at the doctor, whether or not they think it's serious, it would be serious to me! I'm not rude or unsympathetic, just logical.

That was kinda mean! As a first time mom, I often wonder "I'm I just freaking out over nothing or should I get to a doctor?!" She already said she is taking her to the doctor tomorrow!

Maybe the underarm is where skin stuck to itself and baby moved a certain way and pulled the skin apart? If its a lot of pus then I'm probably wrong, either way let us know how you make out!

If you read the OP properly before jumping at her, you'd see she'd had a bit of a rash for 3 weeks, she also said she thought it was a drool rash hence not getting it checked sooner, a drool rash is very normal on newborns! The sore armpit was noticed today!

I never once said the armpit was there for three weeks i said the chest rash and it started with her drooling there so i thought it was a drool rash like my doctor had said could happen. it just spread today and the armpit rash only appeared today. If you have no help to offer please leave my post alone. Im looking for help not grief.

Def get her checked out with G.P!!! Poor wee soul hope she feels better soon!xxx

Just ignore love, you know your girl best and I'm sure if she'd been in pain with it you wouldn't have posted here 1st :dohh: :hugs:

She said that her LO has had the rash for three weeks not the boil. She found the boil today.
I think if she had seen the boil three weeks ago she most probably would already been to the doctors for it!!

Well said!!

Thanks for all the helpful comments. she doesnt seems to be in pain or itchy. she seems her normal self. Im going to call our hotline here anyways to see what they think i should do.

That armpit looks really sore, if there's a lot of pus it sounds like a pretty bad infection. I would call A&E and describe to a nurse what is going on; he/she will advise you further on whether to take baby in now or wait to see the GP tomorrow.

Exactly what i was going to say. I've seen alot of theads recently where people have just been attacked because people read what they want to and disguard the rest. Such a shame that poeple can't ask for advice without being jumped on.

whatever it is hunni looks like it's infected :-( poor wee thing. If LO isn't uncomfortable and she's fine in herself I would take her to the docs as you planend yesterday, just dont put anything perfumed on it and resist the urge to give anything like calpol.

If she becomes poorly or you are more concerned do you have a doctors service you can call out of hours? a nurse or doctor would put your mind at ease or tell you to go to a&e.

Well done you for not rushing into casualty, too many people panic and go to emergency units for non emergencies it only puts pressure on medical staff and makes it harder for those with actual emergencies to get the care they need.

Hope she's feels better and you've taken any of the nonsense on here to heart

big hug

i agree if she is in pain with her arm then go to A & E otherwise i would give it a good wipe, dry it and leave for your GP tomorrow x
