Positive hpt low bhcg

Hi could i have some advice please.

My last period was 23rd of last month.

3 days ago i took a hpt and got a faint positive. I went for bloods that same day and my hcg came back at a level 8. My gp said it was negitive! So today i went for more bloods just waiting for result this evening but yet again today i have another positive hpt which is darker? My gp didnt actually say i needed another blood test the receptionist just rang me and said im not pregnant and no further action is needed. It wasnt untill i recieved another positive hpt i rang and demanded further tests. Im just so puzzled as to whats going on x

Your hcg starts somewhere. If your hpt is darker that's a good sign your hcg levels are progressiving. Some drs consider anything less than 25 not pregnant, but some consider 5 to 24 inconclusive.

Unless you have a history of early pregnancy loss, I would wait until my test is darker before going to the dr. Mine doesn't do blood test just urine test and they usually have sensitivity of 50 or 100. I'd get a false positive if I went to early.
