positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

Hmmm well I say if it is a fake-out then it's fooling my Dollar Tree OPKs too. I think if today's isn't positive, it's very very close. Considering today's First Response OPK was a little lighter than yesterday's, I think yesterday's would've been a positive on the Dollar Tree too. It looks lighter when I open the case, but that's not how you're supposed to read them anyway. So now I just wait it out to see if it's enough of a surge to make me ovulate.

l.e. i would consider your cm to be marked as W because if its more thinner etc then creamy wouldnt be an accurate comparison. So i say W. And looking pretty good. Im pretty sure it wasnt a fake out. Im thinking you had a surge and maybe it just wasnt as strong but it was strong enough.

AFM, im on cd5 and AF is still here :nope: On the bright side, it looks like it may be getting lighter so it may be on its way out hopefully  Cant believe my vacation will be over next week already but atleast dh will be on the 21st of december :happydance: This AF is so different though. I dont have cramps anymore and the color isnt a very dark burgundy color. Its now this reddish/orange like color  And TMI but it has a different smell to it too  Hoping AF stops before my vacation ends and if it doesnt..atleast DH and I can have alone time when he comes home :haha: Also i cant wait for my doc appts but then again i can because i dont want to speed up the time here  Tomorrow will mark 4 more months until we can ttc :happydance: And im currently halfway through week 3 of the BCPs :happydance: So dec. 8th starts month 2 of the pills :happydance: So time is really going fast. Im just ready for dh and I to be able to have our forever baby :cloud9:

Those BCP do seem to be going fast for you. I don't know what to think about the different AF. I'd say since BC affects your hormones, I'd chalk it up to that. My AF and bleeding is usually bright red (except for the TMI clots). Dec. 21st will be here before you know it and so will that 4 month mark. I think you'll be so busy it will fly by!

For me, well no temp spike today. My temp went down a little. If it doesn't spike tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I'm out. So I guess it all depends if I O today. We went to bed late (as usual) last night and DH was too tired to BD. Can't say I was thrilled about it. I understand that he was tired. It was 1:30 and he has to be up at 6:30, so by the time we'd BD it'd be at least 2 before he got to sleep. I was still bummed because last night was a very important BD night and I haven't O'd since January, so I've been waiting 10 months. Of course I may not O at all, but I have to at least try to have good timing or what's the point?!

Anyway... So I checked my calendar from Jan. and just based off of symptoms, I thought I O'd 2 days after my first positive OPK. So that would be today if I followed suit. I wasn't charting then, so I don't know what my BBT was. I guess tomorrow tell's it all.

L.E. i would expect the temp to dip because usually you ov 24-36 hours after a positive opk. So its right on time  Especially seeing that your opk was lighter today so that means you either are going to ov today or tomorrow. FXed for you. Also, yes I am thinking that the BC is what's causing the change. And yeah being super busy will make time fly by faster. Usually my bleeding is around super dark red/burgundy type and clots. I have noticed that also the bleeding is thicker....totally weird. But hoping my body adjusts and get it together :haha:

afm, DH was here on his school break and we were just talking about how closer we have gotten over the years. Also, it was nice to see a huge smile on his face when he started talking about how excited he is about me getting everything done and having a baby. I cant wait for the day that we can finally say we got a bfp and are pregnant. Well, Im going to go do laundry.

le i think o today an your temp will be up tomorrow hey i did the same thing 2 days pf pos opks hmmmm maybe its a good thing

Well that OPK was from yesterday- haven't taken one yet today but will in a few mins.

It's really good that your DH is so excited. I'd say it's a little different with your first one in that you don't already have a LO that made you a "real" mommy and daddy. That first one is a life-changer. I know a 2nd would change things too, but not as much as that first one. For us, I think the 2nd one would really be an adjustment because there would be a fairly big age gap. We've been out of the baby stage for a long time. I've been around and watched babies, and must say I've still got the knack for the littles ones though. :)

Well I guess make that 3 days. Today's First Response is as dark or darker than 2 days ago. Maybe they're too sensitive for me like the Wondfos... But the Dollar Tree is about the same as yesterdays... maybe not technically positive, but veeeerrry close. When I looked on POAS's website, she counted her Dollar Trees positive when they looked like mine.

DS has an appt, so I'll post pics afterwards.

**EDIT** HERE ARE THE PICS. I just don't know what to think about the fact that the Dollar Trees seem like "almost". When I had positive Dollar Tree tests before, it was the old version. But based on the difference I saw between the old and new versions last week, I would think the old version that I used before would also be obviously positive. BUT I've had 1 or 2 Dollar Trees this dark or close, so can I count these? But then again I don't think it was this dark 2 days in a row. Grrr. Thoughts, ladies?

PS- The First Response and Dollar Tree have their control and test lines on opposite sides.

Well I checked cm and cp and it is a little lower and maybe a little less soft, and cm seems a bit thicker.... So IF this is legitimate, I think I O'd already today. Still not confident that I actually O'd, though.

L.E. any updates?

AFM, im on cd6 and looks like its going to be an extended AF :nope: Oh well. Atleast DH and I found ways to still be intimate without actually dtd  AF isnt as heavy as my normal flow so thats good. And hoping it ends soon so I can just relax and be able to dtd since its been awhile  Last night, it was light snow so this morning I woke up to a beautiful scenery of white outside  I am going to walk through the snow today because I got to run some errands. Im not looking forward to coming back home because im going to miss my dh and from what i here...my MIL hasnt officially moved in sooooo i may have some alone time at my house before she actually comes and moves in. FXed she moves in close to DH vacation date :haha: I love her to death but we not going to get along because there can only be one boss lady in the house. Well, dh graduates from school on Friday so im happy about that. Cant wait until he gets out of school so i can see him today. And today marks the 4 months mark yay :happydance:

Sounds like things are moving along well, MzSwizz. I hope AF take a hint from the rest of your life and moves along too. So what happens after DH graduates? Does he go on active duty?

Well my temp went up a little, but definitely still pre-O territory. :nope: I guess I'm not going to O. DH and I had a failed attempt at BD last night too, so feeling pretty bummed all around today. So I dunno. I think if O happened at all, it was yesterday. TMI, but for a long time, I could feel my cervix being hit when we BD, then for the last 2 or 3 times it wasn't, then during our attempt last night, I could feel it being hit again. That is exactly what happened last time I ovulated, and actually that time (Jan) we had a failed attempt in the afternoon and my cervix was not hit, then were successful at night and I could feel it being hit, so I assumed I O'd in the afternoon that day. So if I did O yesterday afternoon, my temp should've been up this morning, right? Plus I just checked and my cm seems more creamy/sticky. I'll check again later to be sure about the cm, but either O didn't happen at all, or it was yesterday. And even yesterday it was more watery in the morning and creamy later in the afternoon I think.

I just took another First Response OPK and it is positive, but less positive than yesterday. It was only on about a 45 min hold, but the concentration was good since it was SMU and I didn't drink much before bed last night.

:growlmad:Grrr very frustrated today. If there's no temp spike tomorrow, I guess I'll go ahead and call the doc.

Here is today's test. It's also a little earlier in the day than I usually take them, but I didn't want to hold off on drinking any more today.

I messed with my "future" temps a bit, and if I have 2 more smaller rises, FF gives me solid cross-hairs for yesterday as O day. Bigger rises would put today as O day, and obviously no rise or lower temps shows no O. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Not all that optimistic anyway since our last BD was Sunday afternoon. Sheesh I'm not even optimistic that I O'd so I guess that is the least of my worries at this point. :dohh:

:coffee: Been so quiet on here today. Hope you all are doing well. Fngrs... I've really been missing you!!

Well as you can see, O hasn't happened. My temp was 96.86 today... which was sort of an evil joke. I had the thermometer upside down at first, so for a second I thought my temp was 98.96. There aren't many interchangeable numbers, so of course I get the ones that are. :dohh: Cvx is back to high and soft and cm is creamy.

So do you ladies think I should wait it out or call the doc tomorrow? Dec I O'd around CD50 and Jan was about CD25, so I technically could still O, but I'm not guaranteed to. That Dec. O was from a Provera-induced cycle, but my last Provera-induced cycle was annovulatory and super-long. The ultrasound tech (that never did the ultrasound) said I should probably wait til I get past that 50 day mark or whatever. I don't know.

Oh and any thoughts about a headache I've had for 6 days? Not major, but enough that I notice it. I'm really not prone to headaches, so I don't know why I'd have one for so long.

I would call the doctor to see what she says cant hurt to ask right do you wear glasses ? Before i got mine i would headaches that never seem to go away and it wasn't bad to where i had to take meds just like a dull ache then when i need stronger glasses the ache came back

L.E. i would say call the doc. It doesnt hurt to find out whats going on. I dont think you should have to wait until cd50 to find out something. Hoping that the docs can figure out whats going on and soon because we need you to get your bfp missy  And i dont know about the headaches...maybe you should take stacey's advice.

AFM, im on cd7 and the bleeding has gotten lighter so it looks like it may stop in a day or so  Yesterday, dh and I dtd  I guess AF isnt going to stop him from having a good time :haha: I must say I did enjoy it and got my mind off of AF too. And i think us dtd is causing AF to stop now because after we dtd...i filled up 2 pads within a hour and then the flow just became light. I can now wear panty liners again so maybe he just jumpstarted the ending of AF  Im happy because DH graduates basic submarine school tomorrow :happydance: But he is changing his rate so he wont be in submarine long. I just cant wait for him to be stationed so i can pack up and leave. Im really tired of being in Florida and ready for change. Also, I just want to get away from all the stress that is there. Hoping everything is all settled before I get off BC so once I get off, we can finally start TTC with no problems  It has been light snow on and off throughout the days. It took forever for thanksgiving day to come so I can go on the trip but now time is flying unfortunately and i will be back home Tuesday  I wish time will slow down so we can really enjoy each other. We have been having fun though. I just wish I didnt have to leave so soon. Oh well, atleast I got my docs appt to look forward to though

Stacey, I do wear glasses and had a new script a year or two ago. Shouldn't be the problem but I guess anything is possible. Before that I hadn't had a new prescription in about 7 years, and there wasn't much difference in my eyesight in those 7 years either- and no headaches so I would assume it's not that.

I just left a message for the nurse to call me back, so I'll let you know when I hear from her.

L.e. forgot to answer question about dh. After he traduates basic sub school, he starts his "a" school. He is active duty technically already. Also, he is gettin out of submarine but he has to continue schooling until further notice of change for his job
