positive opk @ 8dpo...HELP!!!

I'm back home...woohoo!! I did stalk you ladies once yesterday but I don't like to post from the iPad since it's so much faster typing on the regular computer.

Stacey- glad your kids are starting to feel better. :)

MzSwizz....woohoo for the positive OPK... I was worried since your temps didn't show that O happened. Don't worry too much about the swimming. Just keep practicing and you'll get it. You seem very determined. :bodyb:

Fngrs, I get to be jealous over your 3 day period, but how nice for you! Your daughter is lovely and you did a fantastic job on the tutu and cake =D>!! I love little girls' clothes (and cake too lol)!

For me, we had an okay weekend. Not bad, but the trip was for family to see DS and him to see them. Neither of us really wanted to go. We stayed 1 night with DH's cousin and the next with his mom, so I had to pack and unpack, and drive a lot. Plus it was about 96 degrees and humid, so it was hot. I'm more of a fall-weather girl.

Did you see my temp this morning?? I don't even know what to think of it. I actually was kind of hot when I woke up so I was expecting to see a 97 something temp, and when it came up I thought it said 96.76 and looked at it a couple times with the light of my cell phone (at home I have a flashlight I use). When I finally got up about 2 hrs later, I did a triple-take when I realized it was only 96.16. That's the lowest so far in 45 days of temping, and quite a bit lower than my previous low of 96.64. I told DH we had to BD tonight just in case today was O day I didn't know it lol. So we already did. \\:D/ I'd wanted to anyway, but I was waiting for AF to be done and the spotting to be mostly done at least. Oh and since Saturday evening, I've had spotting (no flow), so that's good. I hope that the spotting stops too. That same evening, I had a pretty dark OPK, but it wasn't positive, so I would be surprised if I O'd today but stranger things have happened. Plus I wasn't limiting fluids at all this weekend and didn't use my normal cup, so I'm not sure how good of a sample I had. I just made sure to do at least 1 test a day and temped as close to normal time as I could.

Hmm well the saga continues... BD set my body off and I started bleeding again...I'd say medium flow with some clots (sorry if that's tmi)... Which is what used to happen with my "bad" bleeding. It makes me mad, but I'm actually pretty relaxed about it. Not sure why. I guess because of the dip and because I was still spotting. If I had completely stopped for a few days it would be different. I'd already said that I'm going to get my paperwork done this week and get the ball rolling with making my appt so I can start Provera and Clomid and that's still the plan. It is what it is. I can't do a thing about it and unfortunately I'm used to it- it's nothing new for me.

I remember this happening for MzSwizz... I think it was during the 3 week period last time, right? Well hers stopped so there is hope for me yet. :)

Thanks Stacey...that cake took a lot of work. I baked 5 cakes total to make the cake she wanted with all of the layes. I didn't even have a piece believe it or not. By the time we got to cake and ice cream at the party, I was ready for it to be over.

I am glad that the girls are feeling better. It's amazing how a fever can knock a kid out of the box for a while. That's the only upside of a fever, they don't want to do anything but lay in bed.

L.E. I am glad that you are back!!! woohoo is right! Thank you, I had a lot of fun with all of the partying and even the tutu. Plus the look of her cake was rewarding in the end, despite the running around and time it took to make it.

That temp dip is amazing!!! Seriously! If that were an ovulation dip, oh man oh man, how awesome would that be?! Maybe the old witch is getting ready to leave!!! Ding Dong the witch is dead!!! yay!!! And maybe it was just leftover AF!!! I hope she rereads that letter you wrote to her, because she is getting to be a menace. I am definitely going to be waiting for the Provera/Clomid appt update. For the past couple of days my temps have been in the 96.5 range...this morning it was 96.87. I am hoping that my chart looks like something this cycle. I was surprised at the 3 day period. In awe actually. I had a half day yesterday of spotting.

And the whole clot thing is not tmi at all. I for one am hardly grossed out by it. For goodness sake I have a picture of my CM on this thread  I am hardly in the position to be grossed out by anything that anyone posts or says. I think I have posted something similar, about having clots, when I had the last mc. So nope, not grossed out. :D

Ok L.E. we have got to get to ovulation this cycle!!! I am going to host a little ovarian pep-rally at the end of this week, for ovulation mid-week, next week. I am having a good talk with my ovaries and asking them not to play any tricks and no funny business on the thermal shift! I am getting tired of the "did I ovulate" thermal shift. Who does that?!?!? This has gotta end here and now....

i do the same thing every year and i love cake yea the down time was nice but ugh im so use to them being all over the place

stacey-glad the girls are feeling better.

Fngrs-whoa your daughter is your twin!!! and that is a lovely cake. If i could i would've grabbed that cake through the computer  And im thinking i o'd on cd19 instead of today which would be me at 2dpo today.

L.E.-glad you are back and whoa what a dip that was. During my whacky AF, dtd would increase the flow and then it would end up going back to spotting after awhile. I just think that happens because the cervix is irritated during AF and the clots are usually dh's leftover sperm and also lining when i dtd. Im thinking it will end soon for you and it would be just your luck if you did ov. Well you got your bases covered so fxed!!!

AFM, im cd21 today and my temp only dropped by .02 with a negative opk this morning. From looking at my chart, I think I o'd on cd19 which would put me at 2dpo today compared to o'ing today which would have me as o day today. From looking at the lines from yesterday's pos opk and today's lines on the neg opk, they were VERY similar, almost the same actually but the positive was a little bit more defined and darker so im assuming that I was actually catching the surge on its way out and not the beginning. Will post pics at the bottom. To me it would make the most since to had o'd on cd19 because my temp dropped significantly and since cd20, my temp has been up higher and hasnt dropped massively. Plus, i was experiencing the sharp shooting pains through my back etc which could probably be the after effects of ov on cd19 yesterday. Not to mention, I had ewcm on cd20 and now i only have a slim amount of it now so i dont think today is ov day. Yesterday, had a great Memorial Day. DH and I spent time with the family and then we helped our nephew study for the ASVAB which he is taking tomorrow so wishing him luck on that. Well today, I got to bathe the dogs and cook dinner and relax before work tomorrow. What do you ladies think about my chart and opks? Do you think its possible that i am right and I o'd on cd19 instead?

Stacey- Fevers all together just make me nervous. I don't sleep when mine are sick. i am just thankful that they haven't caught whatever is going around. My niece is sick also. My brother wanted me to send my daughter over to stay the night. NOT happening. I can't afford to have sick children. Not to mention today is her actual birthday and I didn't want her waking up at someone elses house. It's only right that she wakes up and spends the day with me. So was your new baby sick too? I hope not. That's so hard on them, and there isn't much that you can give them when they get ill, being so young and all.

msSwizz- To me she looks like my husband...That is her true twin. My youngest looks like me. I call him my chocolate chip  My other 2 are the cookie dough and he is the one hershey kiss in the middle. My oldest Really looks like my husband!!! The girl is just the girl version of both of them. She has nothing from me but my intellect...Thank God for that one!!! Boys seem a little slower on the draw to me....lol lol lol Well at least my boys are  HOW MEAN hunh?!?!?! Well I am an honest person!
I did love the wacky colors of the cake. I just thought i should post a pic of the inside given it was so intersting. My SIL seems to think I can do wedding cakes. Ummm, unh unh! I couldn't imagine the stress of that one. Suicide mission is what that would be.

Yea 19 was ovulation (still dance if you can though) and I am thinking that you are pregnant. Not sure if you want to hear that one. But, I remember that thermal shift from my June 2011 chart. I will let you know if you are for sure in about 2 more days...But I am looking at it and I can feel it deep inside that you are...I am not going to say I could be wrong because I honestly believe I am not. I know you are headed to the Navy, but...

MsSwizz-By the time you get your BFP I am just going to be getting ready to ovulate, and so is L.E. so send some of those sticky BFP vibes over our way!! We want our bfp's too! I don't know about anyone else, but I want to be round and juicy, and have my sexy bump going. Heck I got free foot rubs from DH, and he even made trips to get food with a huge smile on his face. I need my benefits back!

Don't you just hate the confusion when the thermal shift starts off weird?! I hate it when I have to second guess my opk, or my temps! :/ it so sucks!

lol about your sons. Dont worry we same the same about our nieces and nephews. That some are smart and others seem like they need those extra classes  But its all out of love so i know what you mean. And yes im thinking it was cd19 too. And well i know you are going to be shock to hear this one but I HOPE I AM PREGNANT :haha: Not saying i want to get pregnant to get out of boot camp but I mean I would love to be pregnant and if God bless me with the chance then I am going to take it. Like I said before, i can always enlist after the baby and while im pregnant, it will be easier to be stationed because the option would be left up to DH instead of both of us having the option and whoever finishes first, then we are going to be stationed at that person's decision so i think it would work out either way. Im just keeping my fxed. And i know what you mean about cakes. My sister bakes cakes for a living and she is very talented but its very tiring so now she is trying to have her own shoe line. And she was saying instead of the long heels, red bottoms...they are going to be long heels, purple bottoms because purple is her favorite color. I think with determination she'll get it but she has to remain focused. Eeeek now im excited!!! Cant wait for 2 days to fly by  Also, you see how light both opks were the top was the pos opk and the bottom was the neg. I dont see how the top was positive because its light so im pretty sure it was cd19 that was ov day.

I am with you and I honestly think you caught your surge going down. I remember my thermal shift last June, I said out loud "hunh"? I even said how weird...It was subtle and did that same shape. I have looked at a lot of charts over a years time. So I am expecting you to get a positive.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to get your BFP. Even though you are going to enlist. I think you and Dh have a great plan going about having the baby first (when you get your bfp) and then getting stationed, and not going with the who finishes first thing.

It's June and this is all of our month. Summer time is baby time!! I would love a winter bump! All round and snuggly in my sweaters. And not sweltering in tank tops and cut offs. Not to mention my skin looks so much better in the winter. AND that's the time of year when I wear makeup flawlessly. Summer is just not the time for cosmetics for me.

Yes i think getting pregnant now would be better than later and atleast we will be able to still enlist after i have the baby but i think it would probably be 6 months to a year after baby before i want to do boot camp etc. Now im really excited. Hoping this is it. And the funny thing is if i do conceive...my edd would be feb. 17th which is the day before our 7 yr anniversary!!! isnt that amazing!! And yes atleast if we all conceive...we wont have our bellies until around the end of july beginning of August so thats when fall comes into effect so we will be nice and cool :haha:

L.E.-lovely temp spike. Im thinking yesterday was your ov day sooo far. Hmm and maybe the spotting is ov spotting

I still haven't gotten opk's!!! With all of the birthday madness, it just slipped my mind. Go me. I guess I will get digi's again. :/ I should have remembered to order my fertility monitor...too late now, once again. I think the digi's should do just fine. I am forgetting about what the directions say about testing starting day 6. I dont want to POAs that bad. It's such a waste of tests. I am thinking about starting on CD13 or 14 this time. That way I can test my surge out, instead of wondering if it truly went negative, and if ovulation actually did happen on the day it was suppose to. I am still using my microscope, got some ferning this morning, not a whole lot. Yesterday I had nothing at all.

I was thinking that L.E. could have ovulated yesterday, but I am not sure if ovulation would happen with a light flow. I could research it...

Well it said yes, ovulation can occur during that time. Looking more into it.

edit:For pregnancy to occur during menstruation, one of several things would have to happen. If your menstrual cycle is extremely short, it is possible that you could begin ovulating right as you are done menstruating. Another possibility is if you tend to bleed for a long period of time during your period. If this is the case, it could be that you are still bleeding long after you are actually done menstruating, and while you are actually ovulating.

Yeah, seeing that my AF lasts 7 days, i usually test starting on cd10. But thats just because i think ov for me is all over the place :haha: But sounds like you have a good plan there. And yes i thinking the same for L.E. the light flow is the confusing part.

she has a bit of a stuffy nose her fever was becuase she is teething her doctor gave me something for her nose she is being her happy go lucky self woke up with a big smile on her face and talking away lol and both of the older 2 woke up happy and ready to go the one on the left is my oldest and on the right is my niece
