Hey, for the last week or so i have been feeling little thuds and definite movement. I was told at my anomaly scan that i have posterior placenta which i thought meant i would easily feel movement because the baby is at the front and placenta at the back, right? Well for the last 2-3 days i have felt nothing. not one little flutter or thud, i cant stop worrying :( shouldnt i be clearly feeling things if my placenta is posterior? :( im nearly 22 weeks.

I am about a week behind you and have a posterior placenta and have only felt a few light kicks a day-I went 4 days without feeling anything last week, but heard the heartbeat at my routine midwife appointment-I also thought I would feel loads more....and stronger. If you are worried-see if you can get a midwife appt to listen to the heartbeat to re-assure you? I feel lighter kicks than I was so I think LO has moved into a position I can't feel as much.

I actually read in my expecting book that the babys movements still might not be strong enough for you to feel till the third trimester. It specifically states that you shouldn't be worried yet if you go a few days without feeling movement. There are days when I freak out because baby isn't moving and I am convinced something is wrong but then the next day he is active as ever. Also, she could just be moving when you are asleep or too busy to notice and then later you think, oh goodness.. she hasn't moved at all when she really has been. The other day I didn't feel my little man move at all and I tried everything to make him move.. I woke up in the middle of the night and he was really giving my insides a heavy kicking. lol. Have you tried anything to get her to move?

I dont really know what to try, i have read having a cold drink can help but it hasnt worked for me! i rub my belly etc but makes no difference... maybe she is just too small atm - i just thought because i had started feeling her for days in a row it had properly started and i would always feel her now. i miss it!!! lol xxxx

She will start kicking before too long I am sure. Lol.

Some things you could try are ice cold drinks.
A fizzy drink.
A little bit of caffeine.. I drink like half a coke but not more than that.
A chocolate bar.
Orange or apple juice-because of the sugar.
Lay on your left side.
Laying down for a few minutes-the baby is lulled to sleep if you are up moving around.

That's really all I know but those things work for me most of the time. You gotta remember too that they are little people. They have tired days where they don't want to move either, just like we do. Lol

cheesecake! my LO goes wild after a few bites of it.
he loves it. try anything very cold and sugary.
do you have a doppler?
if still no movement, you might want to go to the doctor. i know babies have a quiet spell around 24 weeks because of a growth spurt.. maybe yours is just having that spurt earlier?

I didn't feel this one (posterior) until 22 weeks (and... that was weird because it was my 3rd pregnancy!!! And #1 was at 16 weeks felt), it is just strange, some are quieter than others I suppose. He kicks the crap out of me now, I'm sure you'll get there soon.

I didn't feel even the slightest flutter until nearly 21 weeks and I have a posterior placenta, and then after that it took a couple of weeks for me to feel him every single day, I think some babies are quieter than others x

I had my scan today-could see it wiggling about-I just couldn't feel it-I am 20.5weeks :-)

I had a scan yesterday and the scan lady told me my placenta is at the back and i dont feel much movement either even tho he was moving a lot during the scan but i couldnt feel it! Ive read that you shouldnt worry about how much you feel it yet cos its still small but i know its hard not to worry!! :)
