ERGH! There are too MANY sizes! I'm so CONFUSEDDDDDD!

Theres Petit Petit Newborn, Petit Newborn, Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wacko::wacko::wacko:

I thought Newborn and 0-3 months were the same?! So I have to buy Newborn, 0-3, 3-6, 6-9!!??! :dohh::dohh::dohh:

It;s so confusing isn't it?

I've decided to buy most of LO's clothes in newborn. Saying that, we're not finding out the sex, so only buying the bare minimum of boring neutral clothes that will do the first week or so.

If LO turns out to be very small or very big then will have to send DH out on a panic buy of bigger / smaller things. But newborn size covers about 6-11 lbs I think so odds are they should be ok, or at least are the best bet.

But it does seem a bit of a waste to buy too many clothes that will only last a month so i'm buying bulkier more expensive items like a pramsuit and coats and cardigans in 0-3 months. They might drown LO though but in which case we'll probably be using a blanket for extra warmth anyway in the first few weeks.

All so complicated!

I think petit petit newborn is generally for premature babies, and petit newborn is for premature/small babies.

All the 0-3 stuff i have baught i'm guessing she will be wearing when she is actually 3 months (judging by the weight), then 3-6 is when she's about 6months!

I just ignore the first number lol :) Hope that helps? x

Im just buying 0-3. If baby turns out to be small ill send my mam out to get some newborn stuff.

My baby is due October so I am buying 0-3 then will see what the weather is like after that 3 months (or when she has outgrown it) as blankets and a coat will probably do fine past that timeframe. Well i'm hoping anyway - if it's anything like last Jan - Feb then I may have to rethink.x

sizes are stupid, my son was 8lbs 9oz at birth and wore tiny baby upto 6lbs for at least a month, he was over 10lbs when he got into newborn which still drowned him!!
promise you now 0-3 will not fit your baby when they are born!! x

Also depends how long your baby is, My friends baby was only 7lb but he was long as scrawny so needed a bigger size.

Omg this is getting so confusing now lol.

I'm having a winter baby, right in the dead of winter - December. I'm thinking now to buy 2 pramsuits in Newborn, 2 in 0-3, and 2 for 3-6...but that works out at like £180 in *just* pramsuits! :( :(

So far I've bought one pramsuit in newborn size. I wanted to get 0-3 but it was out of stock. I don't anticipate the baby being in the newborn one for long but thought it would at least serve well for getting the baby home from the hospital. I'll probably get a few in 0-3 and maybe one in 3-6 but will have more jumpers and cardigans in 3-6 so may just use those and blankets. After 6 months it will be heading into spring/summer so hopefully no need for pramsuits!

How long will baby be in newborn for?

It depends on different things like how small the baby is at birth, how long the baby is etc. I was a long baby and all of my siblings were big babies (8lbs and over) so we are thinking that this baby could well follow the trend.
