Pre-elampsia, question on abdominal pain

Hi,
Where do you feel this pain and what does it feel like? Does your bp have to be high at the same time for this to indicate a problem?

I haven't had it, and I'm not a medical professional-

but- I'm being monitored for high bp (and on bed rest), and they told me that it's upper abdominal pain (usually upper right quadrant)- caused by liver issues. Said it would be pretty darn uncomfortable. (also watch out for the sudden swelling, decrease in urine production, bad headaches, vision problems, etc.)

However, pre-e isn't something you want to mess around with! I'd call your doctor if you're concerned!

Thanks for replying, i did call triage and they told me to take pain killers. I think it's probably a pulled muscle from lifting my little ones and it's on my left side. I'm on bp meds and aspirin and was told to call for upper abdomen pain, but I wasn't sure what the pain was supposed to be like?

For me personally, I had HELLP with my first and then eclampsia, my BP never got really high and never stayed high. The pain I had felt like the worst possible heartburn you can imagine, it went on and on and was agonizing. With the pain, I had huge amounts of swelling and visual disturbances, the visuals I would describe as being like seeing black moths on the side of my vision.
