Hi Ladies <3

Although I'm still ttc I wanted to let you ladies know that I will still read up on here :) All of you ladies give me more of a push to stay positive knowing that it will work out for me in the long run <3

Lucinda, Disney, Sunshine - Nice to see you here!
Laurabe, Sprite, Allika, Chickadeedee - welcome!
Katie - welcome! I hope we'll be able to help you along your journey!

So, I already have a question for you ladies that are a bit further along. My first u/s is scheduled for 8.5 weeks. It's like 3.5 weeks away! I thought it would be a lot sooner. I know my doc is away for a bit this month, so maybe that has something to do with it. When was your first u/s? And how did you cope with the wait? Is pregnancy just a 9-month long 2WW :)?

I had my first u/s at 6 w2d then one every week until week 10. Week 12, I had my 1st trimester scan with a paranatalogist, and at week 14, I had a scan with my regular OB because of brown bleeding. Week 16, I had a regular scheduled scan with my OB and now I am waiting for the anatomy scan with the paranatologist next week.

I am probably not the norm but when you get to week 10 or 11, you can use your at home doppler to find the HB so no worries!

It will get better as you have a bump and later on, the baby will be moving! I just felt my little one kick for the first time yesterday and so did the hubby. She's a feisty one, my first one didn't do much other than flutters until week 21! This one skipped the flutters and went straight to a punch or kick, not sure which it is. :haha:

Hope you ladies are doing great!

Chickadeedee, are you team pink or blue??

Sunshine - I'm team pink!!! Your scan is next week? How exciting!!!!

I found my LO's heartbeat with my Doppler at 11 weeks. Now that I feel all sorts of kicks/punches/dance moves I don't use it as often.... But I will say that in the beginning it was a LIFESAVER!! I even recorded it so I could just listen to that beautiful sound...

Chickadeedee- Oh duh, I are that in your siggie now! Yay we are all team pink!

I'm both excited and scared about the anatomy scan!

You're anatomy scan is going to be great. I think it's pretty much standard to get one, but be sure to ask for a picture if one isn't offered to you.

Hi everyone! ! I made it over! ! I'm a so happy to see all of you here. I have to work on dinner but I'll read up later. I see new ladies needing this thread too! ! That's awesome! !

Mizuno I didn't want to wait to 6 wks lol and so I called my Obgyn and they saw me today at 5wks 1 day; I have my scan with re on wed and then yet another with Obgyn on Fri!

Mizuno my first ultrasound is on March 12th at 8 weeks. It's driving me crazy. I want to see that beautiful heart beating away and see if there's one or 2.

Ladies, I am here, this was a great idea!

We had u/s at 6 and 8 weeks with our RE and then graduated to OB. Once there, they saw me at 11 weeks for NT scan (perinatologist). Them I saw my doc at 14 weeks, just Doppler no u/s for some reason. Then anatomy scan at 17 weeks. Then again, we are spoiled coz we are having twins and especially now, when our little boy has a few minor issues they will keep on monitoring closely, perhaps like every 3 weeks. I also ended up in a hospital at 12 weeks with a flu so we had an extra peek there.

I honestly feel that the beginning of the first trimester was dragging by, but since like 9 or 10 weeks it's been kinda flying by, esp last few weeks! I don't really worry about them much anymore like before.

Disney, did yours do a 3d scan? Those are great, I hope mine will do that. Not that DS turned out anything like his scan but it's still really fun to look at them like that.

Are any of you taking a baby moon?

flagirlie, when do you find out about the gender?

Sunshine - we talked and were ready to take a babymoon to Sanibel Island, FL but then DH chickened out  oh well, it is what it is..... I just wanted to get out of the cold for a bit!!! We are now in talks of taking a trip sometime after the baby is born... Get her used to traveling straight away

Where are you guys? Sanibel Island sounds nice.

I didn't go anywhere for 4 months after DS was born, HOWEVER, looking back, I wish I did. Now that he runs around and has his own mind, it's gotten lot harder to take him places. I do have to say though that he really enjoys skipping town as much as we do. :haha:

No 3D scans for us -- we have to go private for those, and DH has declared that they are "creepy". My OB recommended waiting until about 28 weeks if we decide to go for it for a better shot at a clearer picture.

I wanted to do a babymoon, but I'm looking at taking 6 months off after the birth and am hoarding all of my sick/vacation hours to limit my unpaid time off as much as I can.

For you ladies in the US - be sure to look into insurance-covered breast pumps. I read a few months back that insurance providers are required to provide coverage under Obamacare. My insurance covers them in full if I order through one of 3 specific suppliers.

PostalMom - Did you have any luck with the Crinone?

I had to pay 205 even with $50 coupon for 15 day supply. And I ordered the other 15 day supply from Canada for 49 plus 10 for shipping. But it takes like 18 days to get it. It will be really close.

If any of you ladies do visit Florida let me know! ! I'm just south of Tampa. It's nice here. I think today was high 70s. Started at 50. Beautiful day.
Afm. I still have sore bb. Went up about a cup size so far. My cramps have finally stopped. Thank goodness. I guess they stopped about 4 days ago now. Also I think I had a touch of ohss. Because I was so bloated and sore. And the cramps were always there. The bloating went down and I just feel so much better. Not much ms unless I don't eat. Then I feel nauseated. Maybe dry heave. I would say my most noticeable symptom is my 2 to 3 hiccups. I get 1,2 or 3 I a row and that's it. A few minutes or an hour later it happens again. I did that with my twins. Also. ... Very wierd dreams and bad dreams. Very random. With my twins I had dreams that would make Stephen King look like a wimp. I'd wake up every night drenched I sweat with hot flashes. Wondering if it's going to be like that this time. If it is, I totally writing down my dreams this time

Fingers crossed that it comes quickly! How long is your doctor keeping you on the Crinone for? I just remembered that I might have a few applicators still in my desk at work. If i do, I can send those to you, but I won't be able to send it until Tuesday at the earliest.

We got some much needed rain here in California. Not as much as I was expecting based on news reports, but some is better than nothing considering we are in a drought right now.

My MS was mainly just a nauseous feeling early on - and like you, it was mostly when I was hungry. I didn't actually start throwing up until the first trimester was nearing its end. Even then, I consider myself lucky because I only actually threw up up to once or twice a day despite the more constant feeling of nausea. I hope you feel better soon.
