I just turned 37 and we are TTC #2. After my son was born I need to have a biopsy on my uterus which turned out to be in "arrested development". The specialist wanted me to go on BC and to quit nursing. Neither of those was an option for me. I refused to wean my son and all BC makes me so sick. The HCG hormone makes me so sick too. I threw up literally everything I ate for 9 months...

After my son weaned my cycles returned, took about 6 months, but ever since I spotted about 7 days prior to AF showing up. Friday I am seeing my doctor to get some BW done to check my hormone levels. I am wondering if he does decide to put me on something will it increase my chances of multiples? That is such a huge huge fear of mine...anyone have any input...thansk so much in advance...

gonna bump this up in case anyone logs in later that can help...

If your doc prescribes Clomid, your chances of conceiving twins is about 10%....

This is exactly my concern at this point as well.

I'm terrified of multiples, even twins.

I'm going to see my RE in a few weeks and I'm pretty sure her first line of action will be to give me clomid. And while I think there might be some benefit for me in taking it (maturing follicles and possibly promoting better progesterone), I am not sure that I will take it with even a 10% chance of twins.

I'm hoping that she'll have a different option, or maybe better odds of a singleton.

If twins were to spontaneously happen, then I would deal with it. But, I don't want to do anything to sway my odds.

Honestly, it's nice to hear about someone else that really doesn't want multiples. It seems like everyone wants twins.

thanks jeebus I am not the only one...I think if I didn't have one already I would not be so nervous about twins...but to have 2 with one already here is such a fear...here is to hoping labs will come back normal...or that I am actually pregnant right now...keep me updated with what your RE says...I am always looking for different routes other than medication...might have to look into acupuncture...be well
