Okay I'm trying to work out if I can get maternity allowance pay, as I cannot receive SMP from my current employer.

Any way I discovered the 'test period' is longer than I thought, and I did 2 months of a part-time job right at the start of it.

However, I moved house after this (which is why I left the job) and a box containing bank statements, pay slips, letters etc. was accidentally thrown away :dohh:

So i don't have any sort of proof that I ever worked at this store! What can I do?? Will I just have to accept this or is there a way I can get round this- perhaps by going into the store and asking them, I mean surely they have some sort of record of me working there- I was there for nearly a year after all! Please help :( :( xx Thanks :) xx

You only need 13/26 weeks out of 66. You don't need all 66 weeks xxx

I have 13 weeks worth of pay slips from my current employer which I will send off for them to them to work out how much I can get.

However, I will have only been with my current employer for 22 weeks when I leave. So the fact I worked at the start of my test period (then had a gap out of work) is needed to show I have worked for 26 weeks within the 66 weeks!I won't need pay slips as the amount is irrelevant but surely they'll need some sort of proof that I was employed by this place?

Oh I wish I wasn't so disorganised it always catches up with you :dohh: xx

Your P45 from your old place will be filed with your local tax office, perhaps try them?
Or copies of bank statements from your bank?
Or print them off online?

Or ask the old work place for duplicates?

Thanks for the advice everyone :flower: I'm thinking of just going into my old work-place and seeing what they can do? xx

If you go to your bank they should print your statements for you :)
