pulling.....

It's so unnerving isn't it - just a few weeks ago we were all going about our normal lives and things like sneezing and turning over in bed were so everyday and uneventful that we didn't even notice we were doing them half the time. Now everything causes weird twinges and pains and it feels like you're going to fall apart at the seams. I sneezed the other day and got these weird fluttery sensations up and down my abdomen, it was so freaky. The next few months terrify me as I'm sure it's just going to get weirder ;)

I could agree with you more lol....since i found out i was pregnant and even before all these wierd senssations have had me in a real dither lol, just glad it all seems to be normal. I had a really wierd pull last night when i turned over in bed last night, its all good though :) xx

Like everyone else has said, unless you have severe pain, accompanied by bleeding or feeling very unwell, it's just your uterus stretching etc.

I've been have quite a few stretching pains over the last few days, but as you can see from my profile pic, I got a fabulously dark line on a test today!

I get that too feels like ive done one too many sit ups or something. as along as theres no bleeding its normal x

Oh yeah, sneezing & coughing makes me feel a pull... but like so many have said, it's normal. What I find weird is when I'm in the middle of a vomit wave & I'm sneezing. I have NO idea what that's about.

Ok ladies... I've had the pulling when I do sharp movements... I did a stupid move and had a nice strong/sharp pull. It went away though in seconds as usual.
Well I then went on a walk with my SIL and walked up 2 steep hills... didn't notice anything until I got home, now that pulling sensation is constant. Its been a couple of hours and its still pulling...
Hard not to worry when its a 'new' kind of cramp... any help?

Have you been resting since you came back? I've also found that after extended exercise I've had pulling/cramping for longer periods of time once getting home which usually settles down after lying down for a while or a nap. I'm sure you can't have caused any trouble for you or your little appleseed but if the pain gets worse I would give your doc/midwife a call for reassurance!

I've been taking it easy for the most part, but then my car was ready at the shop, so we jumped in the car and went to go pick it up. not exactly strenuous, but standing and sitting etc....
If I could sleep, I definitely take a nap...
would a shower help?

I'm sure the hot water would help if it's sore :) Or a bath maybe? Then you could lie down and take the pressure off your muscles...

Thanks, I took a nap and its almost gone now. took a shower after the nap and all the moving around, bending etc to wash and dry myself made it come back a little.

Feeling a lot more confident that there is nothing to worry about now though.

I think youll be perfectly fine huni, ive had a few moment like yours and after just laying down and chilling for a while it went away :) its all good :) xx

Yeah, thanks... I got scared because the pulling was VERY intense and wasn't fading after sitting for a while and even wasn't faded after lying down for 20 minutes etc... a nice long nap took care of it though, so it must have been fine, lol.

I find the stretching is worse after ive done something too. Like at work, i only do 4 hours a day but im on my feet all the time and when i get home I notice the stretching so much more than on my days off, or when we took my son to the park yesterday i was quite achy after that. Just put your feet up and rest as much as you can, easier said than done in most cases but wenever you get chance too, leave the pots and put ure feet up lol xxx

I found that my pulling was worse after doing the weekly shop! There was a fair bit of pulling below my belly button then some twinges around my hips. Seems ok now that I've been resting.

I did have it this morning after waking up though. Found that a bit strange...

Hi everyone,

I get the pulling sensation in the morning. I'm a weird girl and always sleep on my front (even with my 34G boobs I still manage it!) but it means when I wake up now I get the pulling sensation in my lower tummy. I am hoping that when I get big enough I will not be able to sleep on my front! My hubby still finds it amusing that I do this- I'm just embarassed!,

My hips have started to hurt now- I'm only 6wks pg but my hips are def beginning to hurt and it feels like it's the ligaments. My body must be getting ready fast!
Anyone else had sore hips?

Wishing you all happy & healthy times
xxx

Oh! I sleep on my front too... I also have the boob issue at 36h but front is comfy!
Maybe that's the issue. Might try putting a pillow in front of me to stop me rolling forward. Doubt it'll work but worth a try!
