If my ovulation test strip has absolutely NO second line at all,
then can I have unprotected sex, and be pretty sure I won't get pregnant? I am so surprised. I had a baby two months ago, not breastfeeding, and have not had my first period yet!

When I was TTC, I used ovulation predictor strips, and ALWAYS had a faint second line at least! Now I have NO second line. Does this mean that I can have unprotected sex?

Thanks,

JB

p.s. I posted this here b/c this section is active. Hope hope hope hope someone can help me!

NO. Your surge isn't detected until the day before ovulation. Sperm can live in your for 4 - 5 days, maybe more. It is possible to have a test with absolutely no line one day, and have a line the next day.

Thanks. I really figured it would be fine. Today I finally got a light, light line. I want to ovulate. I'm so worried that something will be wrong, and I don't even know why. Thanks again!

I got a positive today! Thank you. I'm shocked though. I didn't realize you could basically go from white to pink in one day!
