I want to make bread by hand (no room or money for a bread maker ) and also my youngest has a gluten allergy so its so expensive to buy him bread and stuff but the gluten free bread flour is not quite as expensive but i am struggling to find a recipe i think i can do that is simple, doesnt take hours and hours and i will manage in an evening.

i have used a breadmaker in the past and for 500g of flour to make a loaf i normally only use about 1tsp of yeast and the ones ive found on the internet have been asking for 14g of yeast! this is like 2 of the little packets and im sure that is way way too much! alot of them dont require sugar either but i thought you needed that to activate the yeast?

im confused!! if anyone has a good recipe i would forever love you!!:flower:

I made bread today - the recipe contains no butter and no yeast! So you don't need to knead it, or wait for it to prove or anything, and it bakes in the oven.

I've attached the recipe. Obviously you don't need to add the sundried tomatoes and spring onion if you don't want to; you could leave it plain or substitute it for something else.

The pic is the one I made this afternoon :) The entire recipe from start to finish took about 30 mins
