It's raspberry leaf tea that is not supposed to be drank in early pregnancy.
It is advisable to wait until the 32nd week of pregnancy before trying raspberry leaf tea as there is a concern that consumption before this time in the more fragile, earlier stages of pregnancy could lead to problems.
I am not sure sweet, I went to buy raspberry leaf tea when 37+ weeks with DD to induce labour! several people said it brings on labour and in the health food shop they would not sell it to me as I was preg!! I had to send my hubby in and when i drank it it did give me some period pain! then I stopped drinking it for some reason
But this is raspberry leaf tea not raspberry so sorry not sure
I think raspberry flavoured tea is ok. So is strawberry. lol....
It's just 'Raspberry LEAF tea' which is not recommended. You can buy that in health food shops. I drank that from around 37 weeks when I was pregnant with my son. He came a day overdue but I did have an easy labour compared to the others. So not sure if it helped at all! Apparantely it ripens the cervix and helps with uterine contractions. But some do say it can induce labour. Not sure if there's any truth in that, but I'd avoid until the end just to be safe!
raspberry leaf is the thing you want to avoid at this stage ,i was told fruit teas are ok as are some herbals, but you need to be sure of the ingredients and what to avoid when pg.
holland and barrat checked every time i brought raspberry leaf tea ( at 35 weeks) that i was over 34 weeks, as it tones the uterus and can bring on BH ( so in early pg there is a chance it could cause mc )
anyway do some googling and check for sure whta you need to avoid then buy tea accordingly.... or try out making your own at home ?
btw id def recommend raspberry leaf tea after 34 weeks ( some places say 32 ) obviusly i have no basis for comparisson but i do believe it helped with labour / pushing in the end

I absolutely love tea. Before I was pregnant, I drank several cups a day. However, given the long list of ingredients we are supposed to be careful with, I decided to just take it out of my diet all together; I don't want to have to think too hard about the ingredients of my drink.
I think I might try steamers to see if they can help fill the void.
I've got a variety of fruit teas, some caffeine free. I have blueberry, peach, strawberry and cranberry, blackcurrant and nettle, but I haven't had the raspberry and echinacea one cos I wasn't sure if I could have it.
