Depends on budget and what you're after and what compliments you.

My everyday perfume is from The Body Shop, costs £15 for 50ml and is called Love Etc. My going out perfume is Christian Dior Pure Poison, costs £66 for 50ml (Debenhams). My special occasion perfume is Christian Dior Miss Dior, also costs £66 for 50ml (Debenhams).

DKNY have some nice 'fresh' perfumes. Rihannas perfume I was bought as a gift and was surprised at how lovely it was it's more of a sexy, evening scent though. Vera Wang has some nice fruity scents.

It sounds like it would be awful, but Britney Spear's perfume "midnight fantasy" is my absolute favourite, it's so fruity and smells just like skittles. I always get tonnes of compliments! Cheap too!

I love Nina by Nina Ricci, it's very summery.

Perfume is one area where I'm really affected by advertising and packaging. I see a bottle or advert I like and then go smell the perfume. Obviously if I don't like the smell I wouldn't get it. Nothing else in life do I buy based on advertising.

I first bought Nina on holiday so it always reminds me of my sunny relaxed holiday.

I used to love Flower by Kenzo (fresh summery), Poison by Dior (heavy evening scent really) and my friend has a Prada one that smells nice but I imagine it's expensive.

It really comes down to what works well with your body chemistry. So it could take some trial and error to get the right ones.

For me, I love one from Bath and Body Works called Twilight Woods for an every day scent, though I mostly use it in body wash and lotion form. For going out, I like Very Sexy from Victoria's Secret.

I also like DKNY green apple, and Hugo Boss orange.

Hypnose - Lancome ... Bit pricey, but really is gorgeous for day or night.
